Now I Have To Pay?

I have been collecting Wallpapers for years and now I have to pay or buy something? What's up with that? Not everybody has money these days, due to hour cuts and such. In my spare time, I like to collect awsome looking wallpapers and this is the best site to do just that. I'm sorry, but I just can't afford to purchase anything. I understand that bandwidth costs money but it would be nice to have a certain limit per day that you can download. Thanks.

i cant see why stardock cant pay the Wincustomize fees or at least 85%!!! becuase without Wincustomize stardock would be nothing dont u think?

WinC could drop dead this instance and Stardock will be around for many years to come...
you've got it back asswards don't you think, Stardock prmotes a reason for WinCstomize to exist, not the other way around.
Looking at it the way you present it is like saying the only reason your parents exist is because you were born.

Solid Nuts: Stardock already bears the majority of the costs of WC operations; subscriptions just help out. The site is not self-sufficient.

Your right...the car is WinCustomize and the Fuel is Money to keep it running and the destination of your drive is what you are downloading

Boy you do have it backwards. I have Favs for close to 80 skinning sites and none of them, including this one would have a reason to exist if StarDock didn't create the software that uses the files that are stored at all these sites.

Think of Wincustomize as a bus.
Stardock bought it, and pays for the road it runs on.
The Admins are the 'Driver'...
And currently the coach is pretty bloody full....one or two empty seats only...
Trouble is....of the 40 or so passengers, ONLY ONE actually bought a ticket to pay for petrol [gas]...and he paid child's fare....
