Why it will never end.

Sigh.

I'm sure this will be met with some measure of controversy...

I am saddened to see any child die, I empathize with the true innocent's that have perished in not only this war but all the other futile conflicts.

...but....frankly I've had it up to my ears listening to radical advocates spouting off about their children being killed, parading photos around as if THEY had had no stake in what led up to the event.

I believe that radical islam is on its way to destroying our planet. When your putting weapons in the hands of, or strapping bombs to.. your young men..you have lost any and all claim to being a civilized people and imo merit zero sympathy.

When I look at the faces, in the photo's, I am hard pressed to find ONE face that isn't in some form portraying evil or anger, They don't want peace, they care nothing about truces or diplomacy, they don't cherish or celebrate life.

It is a disease, a drug that is slowly but very surely speading accross our planet, I personally don't see anyway it can be stopped.

I am loathed to think about raising my own children in the current world climate. Sure there are many more forces at work, but I believe the single most significant threat to the west in the years to come is keeping this evil at bay.

Some of you I'm sure will invoke Isreali \ Western agrression, warmongering, ideology, any number of reasons why it's not their fault... I think thats BS.

Look at the images, do you see peace seekers? Children of God?..

I see pure evil.

They're very powerful political leaders.

Do they strap explosives to themselves and walk into hotels and airports?

No...they send people like my children (and other kids who need money for college and think they can get it with through the G.I. bill) to do that for them.

ahhh... your one of 'those' As if there is some kind of moral equivalency.

That really is a sad answer. 2nd thread that I am going to have to feel pity for you.

I believe we do what we have to to keep ourselves safe.

I think to boil it down.. you look at simple philosophy, We want peace, democracy, freemarkets. They want to wipe us off the map and murder every single one of as possible while killing themselves in the process.

In any civilized trial, motive is a significant part in determining guilt. You conveniently skip that bit by not asking WHY they do it. You just put your "evil"-mark on them because you don't agree with their methods. I don't agree with their methods either, but I know enough about the why to not call them evil, I'd rather say desperate, stupid, ignorant, inhumane, disrespectful or a million other things, because in the end, very few of them do it because they love to hurt people, they do it because they feel they have no other choice.

And while I would love to claim to not do the same in their situation, I really can't say it, because I have no idea what I'd do... Neither do you.... ANY human cornered can become a murderer....

I don't even know what that is suppose to mean, but I really think everyone is doing what they THINK they have to, in order to keep themselves safe.  The key is defining what safe means. (does it mean alive in the flesh, or does it mean eternally saved?)  You do know that the militant, radical Muslims who blow themselves up are just pawns in the game, right?  They don't get those ideas on their own...they're fed that stuff...their indoctrinated; and my post was just to say the same process takes place right here, at home, but with different doctrine.  The power players keep sending the pawns in to do their dirty work, and the "citizenry" continues to feel terrorized even when it hasn't hit their state or local, and the money...oh the MONEY, it keeps finding it's way into the pockets of the power players....and the pawns miss a few meals.  It's maddening.

I DO know a lot of Christian Zionists -- people who believe they must support Israel unwaveringly, because the book of Revelations claims Jesus will come back only after the temple has been restored, and so because they want Jesus to come back in a hurry, they will do everything they can to restore the temple, even if it means inciting Armageddon (which they conveniently believe they'll be raptured out of). These aren't just backwoods people I'm talking about, either. They're very powerful political leaders

Actually, The Evangelical Christians are more ardent supporters of Israel than the people you mentioned. Their motivation is not "The Rapture", but rather guilt about how Christians have treated Jews through the ages.

I continue to eschew fanaticism...in whichever "flavor of the day"/container  it comes in. It (fanaticism) places ideology before people which is then used to dehumanize the 'other'. You then have the first steps to the Grads, gas chambers...myriad ways twisted minds find to perpetrate their crimes on whomever they choose.

I, however believe in "Never Again". Terrorism in any form must not be treated cavalierly. vStyler is absolutely correct in his thought that they threaten the world and have plans to obtain weapons that are dreadful. That must be foiled...with fatality if need be. A/B/C warfare kills many, but an individual is just as dead from an AK-47 or Katyusha/Grad missile or suicide bomber.

When he's coming with a gun, I'd rather wake up earlier and drop him. Theories are great, but while you're sitting and ruminating you just might catch it in the back of the neck.

hmm, k10w3 I think maybe its an inability on your part to differentiate who is taking the higher moral ground in its entirety

You conveniently skip that bit by not asking WHY they do it.

They do it becuase I an an infidel, because I do nothing more than disagree.

DIfference is.. flipped... I could care less if their ideology differs from mine.. just stay the F away from me and I'll stay the F away from you.  I don't have to, nor do I feel I have to.. go blow them up.

Im sure some of them feel cornered, the poor, ignorant, indoctrinated ones.. there, I am sure is a point where it all comes together a a perfect storm and yes, any one individual could probable completely lose their mind and strap a bomb to themselves.. yes, I suppose I can imagine that could happen to someone..

but.. suuuuure are a lot of them doing it. everyone of them cornered? WHat about the doctors, professors,  people of influence that have homicide bombed? Had good lives.. why would they do such a thing?

cos they hate us.... they thrive on hate.

Y'all can continue to make excuses for them, of course, they probably havent beheaded anyone you know.

Do you think for ONE second they are going to hesitate to unleash a nuclear weapon on us if they get one?

We have them... are we nuking them?  nahh...

Govts are going to keep pussyfooting around worried about which way the koran is facing in their cells and building private footbaths and then  one day...BOOOOOOOM...and it'll be a little late then to apologize to each other for argueing in the forums.

Keep playing them for victims, it's what they want.. they have you, and many more right where they want u.

So in the end you're really no better than they are... Because if you ask them, you can be sure they'll say they DID wake up early.

That... right there is the diff between him.. and me.

That is my point ... 'reduced to the ridiculous'

But..but...but....isn't the gist of this whole thread you started that you want to kill 100's like them, whom you have never met, because of scowling and masked faces you seen in selective pictures, and perhaps the news of the latest Hamas/Israel conflict?

Wrong. I sleep like a baby...also, when and if the IDF fails it'll be because the weak pulled down the ones that do the business of cleaning up the whiner's messes. THAT"S when I'll worry.

And I at least don't believe I'm "better". I'm more skilled, and better trained...also not out to kill anyone because he/she believes differently than me. If I have to I will because he/she is coming to get me, or because no one else is doing what needs to get done.

You can sit around and wait. Up to you.

Right...and how many people were there that believed the world was flat before Columbus sailed? More than 2 or 3 no?

So we now have it....if 10,000,000 people hate you, they must have a reason. Not so...they simply wish to destroy Israel and take what is there... Hate and Greed. Incurable diseases.

But, I could care less. They want to kill me? No problem...I, at least, know what the solution to that is. Do you?

OH.  My bad.  I thought you meant, since they presented a threat to your family's life, you wanted to get rid of the threat.  If it's just to mark a stamp of disapproval of radical Islam (any Islam really)...then we see eye-to-eye!

That analogy is completely and utterly in the wrong place..

going by that you can say...

Right.... and how many people believed in gods and adam and eve kinda stories before science? more than 2 or 3 no?

All religions have been proven wrong.. get over it....

There is no god and if it is i dont care if i burn in hell! i love sin i love gluttony i want ALL the shiny new toys!.. Hell is going to be a long luxurious vacation........... for eternity.

Sadly there is no devil with a pitchfork ... not saying anything about the subject here DrJBHL just that that analogy is whack

You should ask yourself WHY

cause they are raised from birth to hate. They don't decide at 8 years old that they have been oppressed. They may be carrying a gun but they want to be holding an xbox controller.
