it's really nice, excellent in fact but would it be possible for you to add in some passing planets, galaxies, space ships etc? then there would be more to look at.

It's been two reboots since the download, am I missing something? Please don't get me wrong, the dream is wonderful, subtle and easy to live with. It's like the snow dream only the stars or snow falls towards you.

Sorry citizens it's me again, the more I view this dream the more I grow to love it, I would have paid to have this one. IT hasn't frozen-up since the installation but it does stop while on WinCustomize site and other computer applications but I still think you'll pay for this one in the future. Patrick24 you have taste and talent.

This Is Perfect in Every Single Solitary Way

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it. I wanted it to be subtle and not too distracting. I didn't want to add things like space ships and and planets for that reason, and it would get too unrealistic. If it was simply "the coolest animation you could pull off" contest, I would have put all that stuff in there, and made it land on an alien planet, take off, go through a black hole, pass through a star, and travel back in time to abduct humans and blow up earth. Now that would be cool. Extremely distracting and ridiculous, but very cool. You would also have to download over 1GB Dream, but it would be really cool.

And to Len... I'm not sure why it would freeze when you open up different applications. I don't have Vista Ultimate, therefor no way of testing it. It looks like it's probably just your computer, but if anyone has any ideas, I'm more than willing to try and fix it.

Exactly! Not too distracting...a dream isn't supposed to be a show, it should allow the user to work unabated...that simple concept seems to allude those asking for planets, ships, death-rays and what not...My guess is that patrick24 spent good effort on finding that perfect balance between too little and too much. Good Work!

Thanks Patrick24, just a small note: I'm certainly not an expert but there are other dreams that allow users to stop the animation with a right click on the mouse, the menu window gives the option of ceasing the animation this dream does not have this choice but the fact that it stops during other computer operations really does not disturb me as it saves the minute cpu usage this dream utilizes and is not distracting while engaged at work, it resumes after exiting. Not having Vista Ultimate means you still have all your hair, for most it's a love hate relationship. Really looking forward to any future posts.

hey patrick 24. you are really talented, but im sorry only one dream is allowed in this contest.if i was you i'd stick with this one, because with this much talent you might take 1st and 2nd and its just not right.

im telling you this because the judges might descualify both of em...

I'm like a virus that keeps coming back, there are tech interrogative questions that become pertinent when things are injurious to simple applications. In other words errors and freezing become common place after consuming your really simple but insightful product with time (the key). I want to make this a profitable project to you without an Advil headache within the near future (are you surprized at the positive response, there will be more). It will be a potentially positive initiative to investigate and resolve these really elementary errors that are easily fixed. Happy Capitalism. I know who you are, and believe in you. Len aka ....

Actually MythTape if you read the rules it says you can upload as many as you can make within the time limits.

Very Nice, subtle... loops better than all the rest of starfields i've seen. Good work.

Patrick, great dream, next one should have planets and maybe even nebulas. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!

patrick, though there are some that want a busier scene, i think this is perfect, no distractions. (easier to match other thing to make a single theme)

and... actually when traveling from onr galaxy to another, you would see no stars or planets.... in reality you would see nothing but darkness and veryu few faint glowing specs of other galaxies. only traveling inside of a galaxy woulf you see so much

Man, I so dig this one. Simple, but well done. I'd love to see just a few more elements chunking through space. If I could design and create something like this, I'd love to have like a glowing heads up disply kinda thing maybe in the corner of the screen delivering spaceship course, speed, yada yada.. Great Work! MORE PLEASE!
