Since when has age been an issue on this wonderful medium called the internet? Aside from the obvious and blaring legal ramifications of age, one should remeber that on the internet, intellect is the sole source of clout that earns one respect. I don't mean intellect merely in the sense of "smarts", but also skill, eloquence, and discretion, the latter of which is the reason for this quasi-rant.
I was reading through some reviews when I found some boorish remarks by and obviously mislead individual. Such remarks never earn anyone a shred of respect because destructive criticism more often than not implies insecurity and ineptitude on the criticisers part. Such comments should be left on shady flame-posts and less reputable forums.
Moreover, I found the works in question to be perfectly ok as far as quality goes, not that a lack of quality should call for such blatant dissing. In closing, I have but this to say: Keep it clean people.

I totally agree, shotgun, that age is irrelevant here. I'm 53 and have a great respect for many younger than I who possess skills, intellect and wisdom that surpass my own. Perhaps it may not be to my own particular tastes, but if a 12 y.o. produced a work which showed ability, promise and potential, I would have nothing but admiration for them, perhaps a touch of envy, even. I'm not that artistic myself, and my computer skills are still rather limited, so I would not have the gall to criticise anyone who has the ability the get works posted here, regardless of their age.
I know what I like , however, and for those things that don't suit my tastes, I leave them on the shelf for others without irreverant or undue criticism. Perhaps the individual in question should take a leaf out of this book of life and pursue other past-times for which they are qualified.
Furthermore, for those who saw my reply to the individual who accused Stardock of greed, that personal attack was warranted because it addressed a whinging lie about a reputable organisation and persons who contribute far more than they receive. I reserve my harsh criticism for such occasions, never for artists who contribute to help keep Wincustomize alive. without all of them catering to all sorts of tastes, we'd have no site at all and nothing to write about to a forum that doesn't exist.
So my advice to all would be critics, if its not constructive, keep it to yourself
