Do you believe?

I don't believe in religions. A MAN created religions. It's a big FAT joke. Everybody is the same. Man is man. Women are women. God is God. List goes on.
I do believe in spirits haunting or going to places. They do whatever they want.
When I die, I know where I'm going. I will travel spiritually.Reply #83 Wednesday, December 7, 2005 7:45 PM

But I have noticed a few cross-dressers who can't make up their minds.

Yeah....I've noticed that!! They keep movings things at my place, sometimes from room to room....or is it that I'm becoming rather absent-minded?

I won't go into details or experiences; I would be here forever. I can tell you though, keeping my religous, or lack-thereof beliefs out of this statement, I'm firmly convinced that something DOES exist once we as humans cease to exist. Be it the simple fact that perhaps we, as humans, are a form of energy, and energy can neither be created or destroyed, only converted, I don't know. But there is something more. That statement isn't made based on hope or on the necessity of a 'hand to hold through life'. I shared Jafo's and others opinions once. I simply can't anymore.

we are soft and supple.
But when we've perished
there's no more tenderness
to be cherished.
When plants are young,
they are pliant and fraglie.
When they die,
as they lose their green,
they wither and dry.
The sharp sword and knife
tryst always with death,
while love without strife
is an ever devoted
disciple of life.
An inflexible army
seals its own fate.
When a tree branch grows brittle,
it easily snaps,
whether long or little.
Wherever you go,
the rigid lie low.
While the weightless in the sky,
and all that is gentle,
fly boundlessly high.
Even in philosophies are many debates over life after death. I tend to believe that, if there is a Heaven and Hell, Starkers is in the right: we live it here and now. Depending on one's point of view of how life is going is how one might determine if it is Hell they live in, or Heaven.
| humans, are a form of energy, and energy can neither be created or destroyed, only converted |
Our energy, soul, vitae or collective is boundless. We are bound here on earth as organic mass-based energy. Encapsuled if you will. Why we are here is a totally new thread.
Spirituality is key in living in the Heaven that is here on earth. One does not have to be part of a sect, cult, religion, or school of thought to be spiritual.
And so, I do believe in life after death. I do believe that there is a power greater than myself. I believe that in the afterlife, we are given the choice to return and learn/experience more. Yes, reincarnation. Nope, don't believe in ghosts, ghouls, vampires, spirits, poltergeist, dopplegangers, wights, wraiths, zombies, demons, devils or living shadows. Just made up to make the kiddies stay in bed way back when.

Glad someone bumped this thread, good reading....

I heard a missionary say once that in the minds of natives, it was not a matter of whether or not there was a spiritual world. This was always a fact and part of their every day life. The question was, "which spirit is stronger?". That would be the one the people turned to.

Life after death....
If you believe there is...and you discover there isn't [if you could then acknowledge the fact] you'd be somewhat disappointed...but since there isn't you can't.
If you believe there isn't...and you discover there is you'll be able to exclaim "Well....fancy that!"
Eventually we ALL shall KNOW....

1. I believe in all mighty God.
2. I believe the Bible is God's Word. That it tells us all we need to know about life, how to be happy, what our ultimate outcome is.
3. I believe that when you die, that's it, you are dead. Non-funtioning, non-existant, concious[?] of nothing.
Now, when Jesus was on earth he resurrected several indiviuals.
He also stated that all those in the memorial tombs (or graves) would hear his voice and come out to a resurrected of life.
Thus I believe that there will be life after death when we are resurrected by Christ.
This is my belief.
