Global poll slams Bush leadership

More than half of people surveyed in a BBC World Service poll say the re-election of US President George W Bush has made the world more dangerous.
Only three countries - India, Poland and the Philippines - out of 21 polled believed the world was now safer.
The survey found that 47% now viewed US influence in the world as largely negative and such unfavourable feelings extended towards Americans as a whole.
None of the countries polled supported contributing their troops to Iraq.
"Negative feelings about Bush are high and are generalising to the American people who re-elected him."
On average across all countries, 58% of people - and 16 out of 21 countries polled - said they believed Mr Bush's re-election to the White House made the world more dangerous.

I guess my problem is I haven't suffered any loss to my Civil Freedoms (but I guess you have) I own a business and have just fininshed three of my best years in the last nineteen. (but I imagine you have not) I guess he could be giving money to the arts where some people publicly display what I call child pornography... I haven't been jailed and tortured (but I'm sure you have) and I'm not having trouble breathing or finding clean water to drink. (but you keep holding out till the French rush in those water trucks) I'm glad I live in a Country where I'm not restricted to what I can do or not do because of what my father or granfather might have done. I don't believe everything I read in a newsrag or see on commercialized TV (but I see that some people do) After all if there was no bad news they'd all go out of business. If Osama's laughing at us it's from the back of a cave were he's cowering like the dog he is. I don't read anything to tell me what kind of world "I" live in. I see it every day. And it's goooood.

I can assure you nobody is "brainwashed".
Do you remember the first WTC bombing? That was a terrorist attack against America on it's own land. It's just a shame we didn't have a President who did anything about it.
I am just amazed at what goes through some peoples minds.
Did you know that Sept. 11 was planned up to five years before it happened? So how Bushs policies caused it is pretty much impossible since he was only President for 8 months. And for you to suggest Bush just let Sept. 11 happen is just crazy. Why do you people fall for these wacky conspiracy theories?
And as far as "liberating Iraq's oil". Another false statement. I will admit this was a war about oil, but it was about Saddam keeping France and the U.N. in his pocket.
Please tell me what countries will band together and "liberate" the U.S. I need a good laugh.

| Bush and his policies did cause 9/11. No two ways about it. I won't say he conspired with the terrorists responsible, but he certainly let them get away with it. How many airbases did those hijacked planes pass? Why weren't they shot down? Bush's justification for liberating the oil in iraq is transparent enough that the entire world outside the States can see it. Thus, negative reviews in the world's eye. It's only a matter of time until the world gets fed up with it and some countries band together to liberate the States the same way Bush is liberating Iraq. Hey, it happened to Hitler. |

As far as the faith based charity. It's open to any faith based charity, not just Christian. Where you do get this information from?
He has not destroyed the Constitution in any way. Can you tell me what part of the Constitution is gone?

Just my opinion, too ...but it'd be nice if this thread could be moved over to JoeUser, and continued there ~because it is interesting to see peoples opinions on this topic.
This site is about customizing ...not politics and debate of same.

The US conducted the only poll that matters when it comes to Presidents and that was in November.

I dont care about the polls. We have'nt had an attack since Bush has been in office. Let's put the blame where it belongs...Clinton. He cut our defenses while teaching our children it's okay to committ adultry in Church on Sunday. The plan for the 9/11 attack began on Clintons watch. How easy Clinton made it for the terrorists. They just had to look at the debacle he created called Black Hawk Down, which is just one of his many claims to fame. And in all my years I have never recieved money back from the Government besides my tax returns except on Bush's watch. Bush is not perfect. He could spend alot more thought on Global Warming and such, but at least he is not like all the moaners who wan't to run at the first sigh of hardship. I will alway's support the one with a Backbone. Go Bush!

That has to be the most ignorant statement I've ever heard. 9/11 was caused by a bunch of Middle Eastern wimps. If Bush had his way, we'd launch a pre-emptive strike and send 'em all to allah (intentionally not capitalized).

I'm not very informed in all of these matters. I know that I wake up with the freedom to drink coffee, go to work, have some leisure, read the Bible, and give my opinions publically.
I'm thankful for these things.

There is so many false statements there I don't know where to start.
How does someone "fake" duty in the National Guard? Bush fulfilled his obligations in the Guard and was awarded an honorable discharge. If you believe something else, then you should stop watching Dan Rather.
Bush has not damaged civil liberties or taken away anyones rights. That's a common accusation from the left is that Bush has "taken away your rights". Of course when you ask which "right" was taken away, they just can't seem to answer.
When did the Vice President tell Congress to "F off"? I can only imagine you are referring to when Cheney told a Senator to his face to "f off". That is different than telling the entire Congress.
You really shouldn't get your info from Farenlies 9/11. If Bush would have jumped up and scared the kids you would be complaining about that also. Nothing was going to change what happened on Sept. 11. Our military acted as best they could in an almost impossible situation. Stop listening to Michael Moore, and stop listening to the wacky conspiracy theories.
As far as his "financial plans not working".....wrong again. Bush has brought us out of a recession which started under the previous administration. Unemployment is at very low levels, and the economy is growing at record levels.
In case you missed it, there are documented links between al-qaeda and Saddam. Indictments have been issued linking Saddam and Osama. You probably don't hear much about it because it was done under a democratic administration.
