The way you move in space is almost entirely different then on earth. well it isn't different at all, but what works good in space doesn't work all that good on earth. The nuclear reactor would have to spit out particle in order for it to move, by pushing stuff out the back it propels itself forward. I think the best way to get around in space would be some kind of "light" drive. The ones on star trek and star wars, you know the ones with the pretty lights in the back
