courts are wacky and the whole PC thing is a load of crap...

Considering LA was the epicenter of the 'ebonics' furor, why not take a page from their poet laureate Tupac and change 'master and slave' to 'Pimp and Beeyatch'? You could promote cultural diversity at the same time...

It's a European word anyway, so you Yanks don't even have the right to decide what should and shouldn't be done with the word. To make matters more ridiculous, the words are actually defined by their technical computer definitions in most good dictionaries. Does that mean that any word with more than one meaning should never be used again if one particular definition of the word is offensive to certain people?
