STARDOCK SUPPORT
Tuesday, November 25, 2003 by paulbrittgarcia | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
All I got when I reported I couldn't log in to my account was a "read the FAQ's" message!
Also the Stardock Central Installer version 111a I downloaded is broken! When run it gives an "expected size 600,000 actual size 200,000" (numbers rounded off) error message!
So I have no installer and can't log on!

| TasT - 11/25/2003 11:24:14 PM Also isn't there a way to use a web browser to get to the goods if you have your reg # and email address? |
yes there is, as a matter of fact...
but it takes a clue as to how to go about it, I mean my 8 year old daughter could do it, but....

My guess is this person is long gone....presumably accessing warez and/or alternate skinning methods to right-royally mangle his Computer-Age existence that 'MUST' be instantaneously responded to.
Don't forget, folks that he is a consumer and has the sun shining out of an orifice somewhere and to heck with the 730,000 other registered site members and millions of unique casual visitors.
Clearly they/we are all blessed with magical powers and have avoided similar 'issues' from which he suffers.
The old adage 'patience is a virtue' declares to one and all that some people are clearly deficient in the virtue department...

Our records show that you successfully connected after receiving an email from [email protected]. Obviously, your issue has been resolved.
Our company is filled with people who love their job. Why?
Because we don't believe in having them work odd hours, bad shifts, and
weekends. We do this out of respect of our employees. If all
employers were like that, this world would be a happier place. If you want
24/7 support, please only purchase products from companies that have a SLA that
states that they will do so. Otherwise, I don't see giving a couple
business days for a response as unreasonable. If this was your ISP, or
your OS, I could see needing 24/7, but (I know this is hard to believe for most
skinners here) but, your computer *will* run without Object Desktop or desktop
enhancements running. So, it's not life or death waiting a couple days to
get a response.

I'll close it. What a very odd thread.
Every once in awhile you see a thread started by someone who has clearly not experienced technical support from anyone else.
I think most people who have dealt with Stardock's tech support and have also dealt with tech support of other companies would agree that Stardock's is amongst the best out there: Support news groups, FREE email and phone tech support, live chat, integrated password/serial/product info retrivial (that is fully automated). Etc.
And on top of all that, most of our software sells for $20 or less. I'm still waiting for a certain large graphics package vendor to get back to me on a very very simple question. But then again, I almost never get email responses (automated or otherwise) when I email support for most software companies.

Britt, Some people couldn't find a clue if it bit them on the ass...
