STARDOCK SUPPORT
Tuesday, November 25, 2003 by paulbrittgarcia | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
All I got when I reported I couldn't log in to my account was a "read the FAQ's" message!
Also the Stardock Central Installer version 111a I downloaded is broken! When run it gives an "expected size 600,000 actual size 200,000" (numbers rounded off) error message!
So I have no installer and can't log on!

....and....just so you don't yet again fly off the handle, you can consider Karmagirl's comment as that from 'Stardock Support' [the thing that allegedly sucks], as she is your Stardock respondent....
BTW....did you actually read the 'FAQ' or is there a conscientious objection to such?...

Just letting you know I think you guys .. well, maybe you do suck.... hot air out of unfair posts. ....bandwidth out of data miners. ... trolls out of the message board.
I could go on, but well....
I'd rather jsut celebrate the good times you bring to us, the beauty, the support, the friendship.......

1. It's always amazing to me that if you post a RANT because you cannot find a channel to get actual help - you get tons or replys telling you that you can't do that - that are RANTS themselves! This is hypocritical in the extreme!
2. Wake up guys and gals - this is the computer age - customer support should be almost instantaneous - like it is at 3DCommune and Coffeecup Software! If it isn't you should take your money elsewhere! (Which I intend to do!)
3. This place is screwing you all royally! You provide tons of content for free; which you and others have to pay for to receive; and then to top it off; if you want to sell your stuff; you have to pat a big fat fee to do so! You are extreme suckers!

I think you need to slow down man. This site had over 1.5 million seperate users a MONTH! To think how many of those people have to email support, that number must be in the thousands. Even if we assume 20,000, which is less than 2%, thats still alot of emails that must be reponded to. I think that they deserve at least 2 days to keep uo. Also, there has been a major server crash that they are trying to repair. Be patient! This is one of the best places on the internet to get any of this stuff so back off a little.
(end='rant')

1. You may have a point there.
2. The more popular the software, the longer it will take the support team to answer emails.
3. You've got that completely wrong. You obviously don't understand what's going on here. And I don't get your last comment at all......

I think not. You post a rant attacking the place and the people who are our friends, then you get people defending each.
After all, I don't see anyone saying YOU suck. Hypocritical begins at home, sir, and you might expect to get as good as you give. To demand better treatment than what you dish out to others, that is where the hypocrisy starts.

Once you get your little problem straightened out look through the support news groups @ news.stardock.com
These guys will normally bend over backwards and do some contortionists stunts to help a customer who is courteous and goes to the right place to get support.
