It seems everytime I open my mouth I do something wrong. I try so hard to be nice and yet everything I do or say comes out wrong. I didn't know about the screenshot not being whose-ever and I don't know anything about anything and I should just not say anything anymore. I enjoy OD and will just stay with that. I didn't mean to cause any grief. I appreciate all you artists, skinners, and envy what you do. I would give anything to be able to do what you do. I never meant to give credit where it didn't belong and I didn't mean anything, just to tell people I liked their work. That is it. Done. I'll just get my WBs, ODs, IPs, Desktop X and keep my mouth shut.

they need to clearify what they expect, they say to post your favorite screenshot, they don't say anything about creating it yourself! I probably did the same thing! I took a screenshot of what my screen looks like, thanks to apocolyps67 and some other excellent skinners! I'll probably catch a ration of shirt for it too!

Screenshots are screenshots of your own desktop as you say. You don't have to be the author of the wall or skins displayed. The wall however should be somewhat obscured as noted in the screenshot thread to prevent copying. That's all.

You know, that was real babyish of me. I should have just said what the heck was up instead of whaaing about it but I was so hurt and upset because I made a boo-boo in the world of artists and was ready to walk away from my favorite program. To tell you the truth I don't know what I did. All I know is I got on this discussion board and was looking at the different subjects and saw where I had caused this big ruckus because I praised the wrong person. The same day, at work, we have a discussion board and I had tried to help this girl that was in California in the fires and evidently said the wrong thing there (God only knows I was giving the girl all the sympathy I could) and it seemed like everywhere I turned somone was mad at me for trying to just do all I could to be a decent person and have a group to chat with. Sorry I had acted so dumb but I just didn't do anything wrong. I think what happened is someone had a screenshot and I was saying how great it was and may have said "the suite is great" instead of the "desktop is great". I really don't know. All I know is all of a sudden all h... broke loose for me praising the wrong person. I just meant the way the person had put the suite/theme/desktop/wallpaper/whatever together looked nice. I realize maybe that person didn't do the suite, but just complimenting him on how he put all the different things together and all of a sudden my name is mentioned in this big discussion and I think I cause it all because of my stupidity. Sorry again. Geeze, how many times do I have to say I am sorry to people when I don't even know what the heck I am doing wrong other than opening my mouth and trying to be courteous. Oh well. It is too nice of a program to walk away from. I got my itsy bitsy feelings hurt and I am sure I'll get over it. If I do it again, please just ignore me and for God's sake don't say something crappy to me. My ego is right at the bottom of the barrel right now.

Diane,one thing to remember. we all make mistakes. Put on a thick skin and don't worry about it, just learn from it. Thats all we can do. What do you say kona?

Good heavens....I hope that's not it.....just slightly wrong on two counts....wasn't my screenshot [originally], and 'top skinners' is just plain wrong....but I do KNOW some top skinners, so you were close....
