I could never stand the Fisher Price look of XP and couldn't wait to change that ghastly UI.... and of course, WB was the proggy I turned to.  The appearance of Vista and 7 was a marked improvement on XP, but then MS took a giant step backwards with Win 8's UI.  Under the hood, Win 8 was great and got better with Win 8.1, but the look of Win 10 isn't too bad, though I get bored with the same UI and need to change it often.

I haven't skinned my computer with any program in more then 10 years. I like the default simple look that MS gave us with Windows 7 and 10 in dark mode. I'm pretty sure in 3 years Windows 11 adoption rate will be so low that MS will be forced to provide another 5 years of updates to Windows 10. 

Windows 11 actually is one of the best looking Operating Systems to ever come out, I don't think you are actually in the minority on that point. I myself am more likely to be in the minority for the level of customization I enjoy doing.

The complaints against Windows 11 are more geared towards it being a step backwards for power users. But, Stardock gets it Start 11 returns features to power users. I hope stardock stay's on point with their Windows 11 philosophy as that is why I am here on this site after all.

Maybe i am in the minority too, for me the time spent at my Rig can be long, so have never been one to go with the default look and feel of Windows, i am glad peeps enjoy the OS how it comes.

I like Win 11 too, for me it is a tool, and as long as it does what i want in the way i want, that will do me with a few privacy issues eliminated .

My first was windows 3.0 and dos 6.0 although it wasn't actually an OS more of a great gui for dos   kinda like our first lay we never forget our first  

I'm in no hurry to switch to Win 11 but I am interested in it and will give it another try in a few months.  As all of my desktop PCs were offline to to desk modifications, I did try Win 11 on my HP 2-in-1 laptop/tablet, but it ran so slowly and at times was totally unresponsive.

Tried 11 again about a week ago. Still has the same issues I had the last time. So until this PC dies or Windows 10 no longer is supported by MS, I'm stuck on 10. 

Really you use one theme for years ???? XP, Vista, 7 has a loot custom themes in deviantart but Microsoft slow lock Windows gui to one theme. And in my opinion Windows 8.1, 10, 11 requere WindowBlinds.

Windows 11 has best look gui ???? are you insane ? Well i and a loot people hate new Windows 11 gui this is Windows not macshitos. Start11 is total unfinished, lag in beta insider and start orb is too small.

We are all different and that is what makes this planet interesting. I like Windows 11 as it does what i want how i want, Yes i do use 3rd party stuff as i love to customise, i run 4 SSDs on a Multi Booting System, half Win 10 for both Themes and WBs, and half running Win 11 for Themes Testing, but one Win 11 will be used for WB 11 when it is ready. I can also understand peeps who have an all time favourite Theme or WB as i Ran Stealth Drone WB for years and loved it, now i love Variety so have a large collection of Both WBs and Themes.

Can you say more about this?  Does Windows 10 not do what you want in some way?  I've been geeking out on operating systems since DOS and I'd be very happy to get into Windows 11, but I just can't find anything interesting about it.

For me personally.. The biggest features I use regularly would be snap layouts and the new command bar with explorer tabs over Ribbons. I can not think of a worse explorer menu then ribbons layout and am very thankful to see it gone. Windows 11 command bar is a bit of an acquired taste. In fact I didn't actually like it at first, but the more I use it the more I like it.

The Start menu and taskbar of course are issues on Windows 11.. But not really though, all they are really is excuses to hate on Windows 11. In reality there is start 11, there is startallback, there is explorer patcher which means Windows 11 is very customizable right now. For me I would be using start 11 on either Windows 10 or 11 because it beats both.

Of course a lot of Windows 11 does really come down to UI changes. I think things like "settings", "taskbar", and "system tray menu" all have very welcoming UI changes for the better. Every time I go back to Windows 10 I really feel these changes and want back onto a windows 11 device.

As for as the Mac criticism. I actually passionately dislike Apple products and have been this way for decades now. I still do things like left align my start menu but this is very easy to do so its a non issue. As for the curved edges, I really like them on the OS and I don't care if they are Mac like... They just look good.

As for the criticism that Windows 11 is constantly a unfinished beta. I think this criticism ignores the times we now live in. Covid changed the world and one of the biggest things this outbreak brought on is the advancement of the digital age. Everything is constantly plugged into the internet now and can be done from home. Think of how video games progressed for example. They all started as completed work that got zero updates to things that constantly stay in development and the comments then were video games nowadays are just constant unfinished betas. But in actuality the ability to develop games after release made for a better finished product.... To prove this point there are a few original nintendo games out there that are simply unbeatable because of an unfixable bug. Games could not be updated after they were released of course games do a lot more then bug fixes now, they also improve the actual gameplay and add features. The same logic here is with how Operating systems now function, it was a long time coming.

This of course this is the logic behind someone like myself that would say Windows 11 is for me. As Naroon stated everyone has their own unique taste preferences.

I am a remote worker who uses my computer to offer Tech Support for all Supported OSs, i spend 8 Plus hours a day doing this everyday. I also run my own forum as Admin. I adopted Win 11 from day one when it was released, i needed to do this as my company knew plenty of the users who use my companies sites, would need an IT crew signed off on all current OSs.

I run a 4 SSD Multi Booting System, two for Win 11 and two for Win 10, but to be fair, my Win 10 Drives are used the least and only for reference if and when i need them. For me an operating system does not need to be Interesting, It is a Tool and no more important than any other tool a peep may have in another kind of toolbox, If i need to knock in a nail i use a Hammer etc.. no different. I choose Win 11, not in a comparative way with Win 10 as they are similar, but to be current for my job.

As you would expect, Being a Power User, and using Win 11 in both a work and play environment and used for more than 14 Hours Daily, everyday since its launch, Win 11 does what i want in the way i tell it to do. So based on that, i do like Win 11. I have not come upon issues many others may have, other forum users including Moderators here has suggested it may be due to using an Enterprise addition. All i can say for sure is during this past year, putting in countless hours over that period, I like the OS as it does as i want without issue. My PC is hugely customised with both Themes and WBs and as such has been made to be Interesting to myself. As long as it does as i tell it and is as current as possible, that is enough for me as a Tool. I could not do my Job if i only used Win 10 exclusively, plus could not give any assistance in my forum connected to Win 11 without it.

That makes perfect sense.  To a lesser degree I'm in the same situation ie needing to occasionally provide support to users who sooner or later will have Windows 11 and so I need to become reasonably fluent with it.  That's quite different than actually finding something interesting about it though.  The incremental improvements in security could have easily been implemented in Windows 10 - some are and just need to be turned on (if supported) - while the UI changes just serve to annoy and confuse ordinary users who aren't interested in relearning how to use their PCs.  On the upside it's job security for us tech workers lol.

Right at the beginning of Win 11, i was disheartened that due to numerous issues with MS, there was no WB 11 and would not be for a year, i can Honestly say that was my biggest Dislike of Win 11 and was not interesting at all seeing as how long i spent at my work station. Then i moved to the Dark Side and discovered Themes, learnt a lot about themes and how they worked and realised recent Win 10 Themes could be tweaked to work well under Win 11 alongside The Competitor and as such i could with regular updates of The Competitor, Customise my PC again, but that is hardly an OS Issue. I would find a way of customising every OS even if i was told is is not possible, This i was told a lot by many peeps, a few of us here even did that for WB 10 working on Win 11 , it was not perfect but worked.

I suppose the bottom line for me would be, I make whatever OS i am currently using, Interesting and not MS, and like said earlier, as long as it does as i tell it working within it for numerous hours each day, that will do for me.

I am not sure i believe in Job security, we as Humans are making IT Very Clever in how it works.
