To quote Phoebe from Friends: "I guess the real question is who put those fossils there and why?"

by its words would be like living by the words of Canterbury Tales. If
somebody can prove that the bible is anything but that, then I will
listen. I can not live by blind faith. I have been put under for
operations too many times to believe in life after death. I *know* what that is
like- there is no pain, there is no sorrow, there is no hunger (sound a bit
familiar?) That is because there is nothing....

so he gave me some kind twighlight sleep gas or something and it was one of the worst things I have ever experienced cuz I was only knocked out to the point of not being able to move or open my eyes! but I could still "hear and feel" everything, him talking the radio in the background and the pain of him filling that stupid cavity! hehe
to me Hell would be like this you would die and have all your senses and be forever in torment.
whoops sorry me got side tracked what I was trying to tell you Java is that I had the opposite experience w/ being put under.

| #356 by Scribe Fuzzy Logic - 9/17/2003 4:49:39 PM Evolution is right in front of us. We don't need to read about it, we can see it for ourselves. Today you are using a pc, 30 years ago they were sci-fi. A simple example of man's evolution in the same way Stone Age man developed bronze, Bronze Age man developed iron and so on. |
I don't think that is Evolution. Human beings having new toys is not a hujman being who used to look like a 4' 8" hairy creature.
No one has seen evolution.
The very same Bible that man write is the very same science that man is writing.

Sound just too fantastic and way too many "accidents" and "coincidences" to believe.

I think that is the result of sin.

bordfryr, to understand that, you'd have to understand how a cell is made. And explaining that would be way too boring. Lets just say that there really isn't that much difference between a plant cell and an animal cell. They both have a nucleus in the center, within which there is DNA. But the funny thing is that plant cells have everything an animal cell has and more: cell walls and chlorophile. The cell walls is because plants don't have a skeleton (neither inside or outside), so the cell walls ensure that plants can stand straight. Mainlym that's the only difference between a plant and an animal. It's not too hard to imagine millions of years ago, when the sea still covered 100% of the planet surface, that simple lifeforms (one cell, or few cells) could have mutated into two groups.
Hey, that kinda reminds me, did you know that cetaceans (sea mamals such as whales and dolphins) are actually thought to have been land animals that went back in the water? Guess what the ancestor of the whale is thought to be? The wolf. Funny.
