Creation vs. Evolution

I thought I'd pre-empt this discussion before Kona's comment in the other thread sparked it off there. There is concrete proof that we evolved, but no proof that we were created. What's you're opinion, and why?

My take on Aliens and UFO are nothing more than the evil one, Satan, playing on peoples minds and beliefs in the form of demons. It is written that The devil can deceive in any form he chooses so he conjors up UFOs to take youir mind away from GOD.

There you go using that 'fact' word again. For something to be a fact it has to be provable. Show me the proof and I'll gladly look at whatever this light is I'm supposed to be seeing.
You know, that actually sounds crazier than the people who believe the aliens are among us. Your whole attitude embodies everything I despise about modern organised religion. You have your beliefs, so why not show some respect and let others have their own?

I doubt if I ever see the light. If there is a god then at the moment he has an off-age (meaning he doesn't do remarkably well the last couple of thousand years).

It is the proof due to the faith Christains have that the bible was written by man from the words spoken from God.
Thank God I am not a mormon like my wife or we would be here all day.
Faith in God is all I need.

It is the proof due to the faith Christains have that the bible was written by man from the words spoken from God.

The theory isn't proof, but the documented evidence is. It's one thing to state something as fact, but another thing entirely to back it up with evidence.

The theory isn't proof, but the documented evidence is. It's one thing to state something as fact, but another thing entirely to back it up with evidence.

Evolution is right in front of us. We don't need to read about it, we can see it for ourselves. Today you are using a pc, 30 years ago they were sci-fi. A simple example of man's evolution in the same way Stone Age man developed bronze, Bronze Age man developed iron and so on.
Denying evolution is the old stick the fingers in the ears and shout 'nah nah nah, I'm not listening' syndrome. Go ahead, bury your head in the sand. But as long as you do that there's a real world out there you will never understand.

So let me put this to you. How do you know that Darwin wasn't simply writing God's words when he wrote the theory of Evolution? Maybe God wanted us to know the true origins of our species because he was tired of getting all the credit. Except his plan backfired and the Christians all denounced Darwin's theory as madness.

Kona's belief in God is not questionable....what can be questioned is the eficacy of 'fact'.
Let's face it....all a 'fact' is is an assumption that is yet again to be disproved following further analysis.
Kona...you are free on this planet to believe any interpretation of 'fact'....just don't expect everyone to concur.
Those who believe an alternate 'fact' are equally allowed their alternate view.
A debate is never about FACTS...it is about perception/interpretation of experience/s.
