An Admin needs to check this....

Tuesday, July 22, 2003 by Zodiaq~ | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Somebody is obviously bombarding the newest Wallpaper additions with low ratings without even a download or comment. It's very apparent it's someone being bitter.

I think an Admin might want to look and see who's doing it

Don't misunderstand me China...I think all the blah..blah about ratings is ridiculous...I really don't care about that.

I'm just saying it's probably those people that just hit the New Wall additions and an admin should check it out.

Thanks Zodiaq... I appreciate the tip. This isn't being done the usual way, it looks like someone's hacked into the admin controls.  jeesh...

I think that type of activity is called laming.. not hacking.

Somebody did have admin access...They were all rated at 1 or 2 and only one rating was made, which is usually the admin default rating of 6

There is no admin default rating, well actually there is and it's a 0. We have to put a rating on each piece when they're posted or else it goes up with a zero and no one can see it. The default of 6 is for everyone that bypasses moderation, journeyman and above I think...

Great > T-man or the techies might not be able to fix till tomorrow. Well I think they keep a record of ratings so it shouldn't be too hard to fix.

thanks for clarification AR - I have no idea whats going on... but it is definitly lame.  I guess there's a potential that the ratings are coming from an admin that's just lost it over the complaining.  We have ten rating points so maybe someone's decided we should use the whole range...

Hmm. Glad we didn't submit today. Can't say we'd balme an admin for going a bit postal over all the recent hooplah and negativity...

Then again...maybe it's just final justice. "Okay, I'll let you in...give you a rate you deserve and then if someone wants to rate you up so be it, I'm bloody tired." Hmm...nope...can't say I'd blame someone for throwing their hands up and doing it that way to stop the crying game.

Is this all people have to do anymore, screw up other people's enjoyment. Get this jerks a new toy to play with other than someone's computer or website or whatever. Get a life. I can't believe what some a...h...s do for entertainment. Sorry, but this is just a subject that irks me to no end. Anyone with the knowledge (or idiocity) to mess up other peoples computers and websites, why don't they create a new cancer drug or AIDS drug or something that BENEFITS people instead of being jerks. Maybe this isn't the thread for it, but I am so tired of having to download security updates, virus uploads and hacker keeper-outers, that it frustrates me that people have nothing else to do. If they can figure out how to do menace to society why can't they figure out how to benefit society. Guess I am babbling and probably the wrong place. >

An admin lost it?

Actually...It's probably been pretty frustrating for all the admins lately and that's not funny...too bad they had to vent the way they did though;p

Dianekk, can't say we don't agree. It sux having to patch a patch that was s'posed to patch the previous patch to keep the 'buggers' out of the Microsoft open Orifices. @Billy G.

Didn't mean anything about anyone here, I love this place. It is just the hackers and spammers and all the other people that make my computer experience a nightmare. Constantly updating virus programs, spam-locks, pop-ups and hackers. In my opinion, my computer is my way of getting out and communicating with others, downloading beautiful skins and desktops, wallpapers, and things and enjoying my time off of work and on my computer, but then someone has to come along and just screw everything up and take the enjoyment out for no other reason than they are bored. Like I said,I probably got into the wrong thread and just have a BUMB. (Bur up my b--t).
