Could someone translate German for me please?

I received this e-mail today but I don't understand German I'm afraid.....anyone know what it says?

Ich habe mir dein GridscapeDX xpTheme heruntergeladen und muss sagen: Respekt
ist wirklich extrem gut!!!
Ich habe eine Frage, und zwar: Kann ich, wenn ich zB auf "Recycle" links oben klicke, machen, dass es den Papierkorb mit einem einfachen Klick und nicht mit einem Doppelklick öffnet??? wenn ja, wie?

At least you were honest, "Snarph" and didn't try to fake like you knew German. Translators do not make us masters of any language!

My German is ancient and rusty, but I thought he told you he really likes that theme a lot, but he wishes he could single-click on (for example) the trash bin, instead of having to double clicking it (sounds like he wants to generalize that to other aps). If there is a way to change that, how?

He only wants to know if he can set the recycle bin in the theme to left click instead of doubleclick.

I think he has problems figuring out that he can set dx's behaviour on mouse-clicks. Should I write to him, BoXXi ?

Think its pretty anoying they don't speak english... I speak Dutch (as my mother language) english, bit german, and france...

As a side note : I see an uprizing amount of german people that use Stardock programs but can't understand them fully... Often thought about doing a german translation of some documentation and stardock pages or even doing a german forum for that purpose (with agreement of Stardock of course), but I also have a 'real life' that is a much important to me.

Styl skinner : I really was able to improve my knowledge of the english language by making friends over the internet and actually meeting them and speaking to them. And I had english as a main course in school for 8 years... Not everyone had that possibility and education, so I am very patient with that. And something to think about : Most citizens of our eastern states (former German Democratic Republic) that left school before the re-union never had any english at school (they had to learn russian mostly).

It's rather silly to expect everyone to speak English. But hell, we get by fine this way, no?
It's quite amusing, though, how native English speakers can't seem to follow English with a German word order (verbs can go at the end of the sentence).

i asked my friend who teaches german about this and she said you should be able to change your mouse to single click

The problems with English is. It's not really it's own language in the first place. It's a bunch of languages put together to make a new one. Most of it seems to be around latin. At least by what I've been finding as I look at things. That is the reason it's a pain in the ass to translate another language into English. It's like Hebrew to English. 1 word could mean several things. And 1 letter makes it a new complete opposite word. I'm trying to think of a example for the Bible translation but I forget. I think it delt with water was one of them. Like where some stuff was located. The seas. Something like that. It's been a long time since I've studied anything around that. Too busy with other stuff

My impression of the question was if some way to set the Wastebasket to simply open when clicked on instead of dbl click opening it. Been yrs since spoke or read german tho so my translation is prolly botched
