Axialis Icon WorkShop is French!

I downloaded icon workshop & liked it because I could easily batch convert mac icons to png's or ico's, so when my trial period was up I deceided to buy it ( like I should)BUT I found out they charge only euro's because they are French, so I decided NO WAY I'm gonna suport the French! Can anyone recommend another program with the same or better capabilities ??

Yeah, I just read that even 'French mustard' is boycotted. Only problem is that the 'French' in there is not dedicated to France but to it's inventor, Robert T. French, who is pure american.

Time for me to step back in again since this was my thread. I did not mean it to be a political discussion but to explain my reason for looking for something else> Everyone has the right to their own opinions and principles. To me it is the principle of the matter, just like raising a child with principles. There are sometimes when you have to sacrifice the easy way out because you are standing on a principle, which I am. Now to explain a little more. Icon workshop has a splashscreen you are taken to at the end of the 30-day trial which has a link for ordering. I really liked the program and as a good citizen was ready to purchase. It takes you to a web page that just comes short of demanding ( no other options are available)that a check, money order are accepted ONLY if in Euro's drawn on a FRENCH BANK. Crdit cards will only be charged in Euro's , it states. So for my reasons which I will not expound upon I decided not to buy it. I have 2 brothers which have lived overseas for the las 14 years, one in Deutschland ( Germany )& one in England, I have 2 Beautiful German nephews, A japanes nephew & niece so it is not because of Rasicm but A political principle. So for those that gave suggestions Thanks. I am going to try Iconshop. I may not be as happy with it from one viewpoint but happier from another. This was quite interesting though & I sure hope nobody goes away with any seriously hurt feelings> It's not that big-a-deal. It's just a big spirited diverse community. Diversity is good, so go enjoy whatever you want, and for those who slammed me ( there were a couple ) I'll ignore it!! I ain't got that kinda time.

hashonboat, Are you referring to the link that is right under the product you want to order, or the button all the way down at the bottom of the page? I didn't see anything on the _actual order page_ about euros.

If he had stated from the start what he said in #86 straight away he would likely have got the answer he received in the end a lot sooner. The wording was unwise and inflamatory, specially considering this is an international forum. Having said that it sounds like this thread can be ignored from now on. He has an answer. C242 I agree with you, I am American and I am not boycotting anything either... France and America are great allies, and that's something the Citezens of both countries need to remember, we arent at war with france, nor will we ever be... we have different views, but our economies play off of each others, we buy from them, they buy from us. Iraq is America's enemy, not france, don't buy products from Iraq, buy products from France. France isn't on Iraq's side, they just want a different solution than what we believe it came to. And In my opinion this war had to come, that doesn't mean not buying my software because I want this war. And if I didn't want this war to come you should buy it too. As for Axialis, how do you know that the programers are against the war, not everyone in France is.
