A small personal, prayer request...
Saturday, March 15, 2003 by Angel_Wings | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Please, if you can...send a small prayer...good vibe...good thought etc. to my two little nephews (ages 7 and 2) who lost their daddy to suicide yesterday evening. (My eldest nephew was the one to find him).
I'm just in complete shock...and horrified. I didn't/couldn't sleep all night.Anyway, I won't drag this out...I'm just feeling so heart-broken for my nephews right now...Those poor babies have been through so much already...and now this? I just can't fathom the selfish act of suicide especially in that way...it hurts me to the core...
Please lift these innocent babies up in your heart and keep them safe with your prayers...they will need it.

*Sigh* I just got back from the funeral...death is just so hard...especially when someone dies who is younger than you and leaves behind a young wife with young children.
I have a hard time with funerals. I don't like the vibrations/smell/sense of death...I don't like hospitals for that reason either.
Thank heavens for Stardock/WINCUSTOMIZE for allowing me/us a place to upload our work...sometimes done with furious emotions...sometimes done to take our minds off of "other things" going on and of course...sometimes just to be creative and inventive and get feedback. It has been helpful for me to work on something to take my mind off of the sadness. Art can be helpful in not just distracting oneself from pain but also facing it head-on and confronting it in a way that is at least positive and constructive and ultimately creative.
My heart will get over this heavy feeling...and I am so thankful for so many folks here with such wonderful, loving and kind spirits, it makes my heart overflow with hope and happiness for humanity as a whole...
Love and (((HUGS)))

P.S. There are ways of saying things...to all people...whether it be constructive criticism or a reprimand or even just a thought off the top of your head in response to something said that can be eloquently put with grace and compassion and forethought for the person intended rather than being harsh, and cold and heartless. If one says something with a 'superior' air almost to the point of hostility where none was needed...it is rather sad on a 'human' level. And last I checked, I'm pretty sure we here at WC are all 'humans' with genuine frailties and human emotions and NOT A.L.I.C.E chat-bots with superficial emotions and Artificial intelligence.
I am not just a username...I am not just a customer...I am not just a contributor...I am a human being...and so are you...so are WE

I find it sad when people don't regard each other as PEOPLE online... I for the most part DO...yeah...sure there are the occasional trolls and jerks and morons but does that mean we treat everyone with such disdain then? I hope not.

I for one, love people...and coming into contact with people from all over the world is a blessed gift! I am still in awe of how the internet has truly made our world closer and smaller.
This land is your land...this land is my land...
