What do you want fixed on WinCustomize?

Monday, November 16, 2015 by T-Man | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hi All,

For those of you who do not know me, I'm a developer here at Stardock.  Actually one of the original developers of WinCustomize.com.

As you have seen, WinCustomize has not had many updates recently.  So, I'm looking to try and clean things up a little bit here. Starting out by fixing a few things.  So, I'm asking you, what issues on WinCustomize have really been bugging you that you would like to have fixed?

Dave, I didn't say I wanted the ability to block a thread.

I said I wanted the ability to hide already locked threads from MY view.    Huge difference. It wouldn't affect anyone but me.

First I think SD mods get rid of them pretty fast.

Go here, Dave, and see how many locked threads are crowding my view. If you scroll down, you'll see about 20 or so, I have no need for them .

I think you are correct. My brain was talking about blocking threads but that isn't what this was about.

Ok so if anyone wants the ability to block a thread forget I'm right. Hiding a locked thread not a bad idea. Almost made it through the year without any mistakes. now on 12/20 late in the year made my first one and I thought I was perfect.

Now you know that was never gonna happen.  Mistakes are part of human nature... and the older that human nature is, the greater likelihood there is of mistakes.

Hehe, and Doc's human nature is that old he made the mistake of antagonising dinosaurs for the heck of it, escaping only by the skin of his teeth.

Anyway, in getting back to the OT, and as has been mentioned by others, I'd like to see the boxes for 'subscribe' to threads unticked by default.  The current setup can be a pain in the proverbial if one forgets to untick.

How about the ability to report comments on skins when they are inappropriate or SPAM, etc. like it is in the forums please.

I would like to report that it would appear that I am no longer being auto subscribed to threads on which I reply. That is a good thing and I do appreciate it!  😀

EDIT........  False alarm. Apparently it was a temporary glitch.

Still subscribed. Bummer.

Good idea but it schouldn`t be misused. However for reporting real spam ( repeating messages about sunglasses and so on  etc.)  messages it would be a real good option. Damn i wasn online on this site for a while.
