Apprentice to World Leader

Saturday, February 15, 2003 by Delicious | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

When you click on someone's name it shows apprentice, master apprentice, debutante, God, etc..

What is the order that those go in and how are the obtained?

sorry about the wanker

I got a good kick out of your Hardhat comment, working with blueprints on job
sites and trying to tell someone back in the office, well even if it works on paper, it won't work out here

most of the time it was because someone at the begining didn't build to the paper, it was more like " close enough for government work " even though your wrapping the roofs in steal panels and dimensions pretty much have to match or it gets all juked up...

lPlural...I may be one myself, but often, trying to cope with others really is a pain...and 'wanker' suits them perfectly...

Way back when this site was just getting started, in one of the many "titles" threads, I asked T-Man if I could have the title 'Vagrant'. He actually put the title on there for me so I was a Vagrant for quite a while... I see others use it too sometimes.

I'm glad he didn't put the other one I recommended...

hehe - if you didn't read the thread it would seem rude... there was certainly no rudeness intended, and some people didn't know what it meant. Must've been a uniquely American term, a friend in Quebec didn't get it. It wasn't comfortable to explain so I realized there was a potential that it could be considered a socially unacceptable slur, which hadn't occurred to me.

Weaksid,

nah, UHRbid is my boyfriend. Whatever that goes with us is off the board... I think we both prefer physical interaction with each other instead of over a msgboard...

text.. at times... are no fun

This may sound stupid but what is a wanker?

Sounds like a slang word for part of the male anatomy.

Also, why apprentice, journeyman
Those are terms for ppl that are tutored by a master and I don't see any tutoring going on here.
Is there a mentor/mentee program that I didn't read about here at WC?
When I see apprentice or journeyman I start to look for the place to sign up for the Union.

It all seems too political. Ratings, rankings, polls. What is next; an election?

Campaign slogan: Vote for Wanker and you won't be jerked around!

Titles can be very misleading. For example, I was greatly disappointed in the book Fear of Flying. I thought it was goint to be more along the lines of the Alex Haley book called Airport.

.......and don't get me started on The Story of O...... it had nothing to do with the origins of our alphabet!!!!

I had a friend from Nottingham here in the states for a two month visit on
break from university. Anyway, I asked him what he wanted to do for the night
he turned to me in a house full of people and said "lets get pissed tonight"

Should have seen the looks, had to explain he ment tye one on, oh and at the
bar he asked someone for a smoke, that was rather interesting to say the least
considering I live in Florida and more than half the guys in the bar were
cracker rebels...

IPlural: "lets get pissed tonight" (Lots removed - that's the important part!)

Must be a regional thing in the US - because for as long as I've remembered, we've always used the same term!
