StarDock Central Is Available

Friday, February 7, 2003 by da_zman20 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Just wanted to let everyone know... go to your Component Manager... or Drenging.net game manager and then the news link... that will give you the site to download from... been checking it out... but i've already discovered a few bugs... lol... it won't recogniz my Cursor Xp Registration Number, and everytime install BandVWM after about 30 seconds it makes a noise as though there is a new update... so I look bandVWM is listed as not installed and it the update is the version I just installed... but it's way better than the old Component Manager

Except from some minor bugs I simply love it. I am looking forward to the option to just update components of the software and not just downloading a whole new version.

Please keep in mind that it is still in beta and the little bugs (and they are quite minor) are still being sorted out. The CursorXP issue is already known and being worked on.

I think that SDC is going to make life a bit easier for Stardock Customers (or those who want to just check out our stuff). you will be able to locate all the programs from one spot instead of having to search all over for them.

I'm pretty excited about it! It's just so cool! Hi!

We are very happy with Stardock Central. The design and user interface is much better than the OD Component Manager and the Drengin Game Manager. We get quite a bit of email just because people are confused as to the way CM functions. I think with Stardock Central we will be able to reduce support issues and provide a much better user experience.

???Object bar doesn't show up on mine. Also, some of the components that it lists as installable have lower numbers than the ones I have installed. For instance...Object edit is 1.2 on SC, but I have installed 1.49l already. Should I keep my old one?

theres lots of lil bugs, but I guess theyre aware of em

some of my OD proggies dont show as being installed, and the ones that do have the wrong versions showing as installed. CursorXP registering works after the update, but doesnt show as installed or downloadable. Still no other stardock dLoads, like Orion or the likes

lookin good though, nice to have everything in one nice lil package. Thanks for the hardwork and effort!
