Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Sunday, January 27, 2002 by Elfkura | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

i'm a really bad tease by nature, and that truly can be tricky when people see your words only and not your facial expressions. Thank you for the kind words - i'm feeling furrier already. Goodnight GM. Anyone else that's out there too.

Whew.. just can't leave here for more than a day, can I? Okay, let's see if I can catch up again...

feline... the problem with keeping track isn't how many posts I see, it's that there are just so many of them. I only have so much time to read!

I guess the "not being much to catch up on" statement goes to the fact that, sure, we've got naked women running around the chocolate forest ... but that's not really news, is it? It's like watching a soap opera -- if you stop watching, and start again 4 months later, only like 2 days have passed in the soap opera world!

Far as the name change, go ahead and keep calling me "Glen" ... doesn't matter to me I would've warned about the name change, but it was a spur of the moment decision. I hit the "edit account" link to change my library contents, and lo and behold, an "edit nickname" link had appeared. I debated changing it a while ago, but I just went for it now since it was so easy!

Bangkok.. why hate to admit that you were ready to jump to my defenses by attacking me? Actually, it's good to know ppl look out for that kinda stuff.

I'm just wondering about me slicing and dicing on the chat now. Guess my evil side was showing

feline grabs the *REALLY BIG* magic wand

the time has come to do something about all of this!

feline *waves the WAND*
*dracoform* provides the *whoosh* noises
*leonine* creates all the spark-ely effects

there!

*we* have just moved old crab's new house, tree and all, to the top of a small hill, next to the elf forrest!

now we can look out of the windows and watch the filigree staircase moving past us several times a day!

*dracoform* points out people may not know about the staircase

ah, good point

the chocolate planet is in the shape of a torus (ring donut)

since i was feeling playful the day i created this planet, the moon's orbit takes it through the centre of the torus!

a little while ago, in conjunction with JavaBean's birthday party, i created a sugar filigree staircase from the planet upto the moon.

the hard part was making the staircase move with the moon, and handle all the local geography on the way past

however, since it exists, we should be able to look out onto its shimmery beauty as it rolls past us

yay!

werewolf is here!

feline things i may need your help in a moment

*leonine* waves the wand again

a large padded table appears in a midst of lots of lovely sparkles, just in front of old crabs tree house

the table is about 3 feet tall, and has a selection of straps on its surface

*leonine* waves the wand again

in a sparkely and flashing cloud of mist on the table, a naked fuzzy logic slowly materialises, face down, and well secured by *LOTS* of straps

*we* have just found that fuzzy has been making WB skins in his spare time!

feline thinks it is definitely time for a celebratory spanking and tickling!

and since fuzzy has been hiding from the party, time to stop postponing the party, and start having some fun!!!

feline looks both ways, before diving under the table fuzzy is secured to

feline has heard rumors about the things people do with carrots!!!

feline: feline wonders what great works werewolf did to achieve this honor

werewolf went to the 'edit account' option on the wincusto site and changed his title.

This morning, I don't want to be 'sir' anymore...just mr. That's MR. werewolf to you Just kidding.

werewolf is really starting to wonder about his mental health...so sad today...don't know why... Have to go apply for a job today and I just can't get myself going..just want to stay wrapped up in my house...but I have to get a job. My last job was sooooo horrible, such a bad situation...I'm a bit gun-shy now...I can't believe I'm a chicken...a werechicken, if you will.

werewolf wanders over to the table and sees fuzzy strapped down with so many straps.
werewolf extends one claw on each paw and starts poking fuzzy in the sides (very carefully, of course).

werewolf wanders off into the forest looking for something

it seems that JavaBean is to busy with work and such at the moment to visit us much

but at least that is good news, since it suggests she is OK!

Ruthven - "I'm just wondering about me slicing and dicing on the chat now. Guess my evil side was showing" it wasn't really all that bloody. The individual addressing you was obviously young, clueless, and annoying, and you dispatched him with such finesse and lightness of touch that it probably went right over his head completely!

werewolf, it is winter now in England, so suddenly it is all dark and dismal.

perhaps it is the same where you are?

that would make you feel depressed

feline wishes you LOTS of good luck with the new job!

*leonine* suggests werewolf needs some fun in the forrest

*dracoform* and *leonine* ambush werewolf, and *TICKLE* him ALL over!

that is the nice thing about dragons and leonines, they are safe from werewolf attack

I've been reading through the other threads on the message board...so much negativity, anger, name calling.... I cringe

the local news told everybody watching that somebody was so desperate that they threw their infant out onto the side of the road wrapped in a garbage bag...I weep

I see my boys look me right in my eyes and lie to me over and over, even though I have been very fair in their lives about right and wrong...I hurt

I get rejection after rejection after rejection with no logical reasoning behind them...I wonder

Although it seems to the contrary...I'm not really having a little pity party over here, just not having a good morning I suppose.

I'll be back to myself...just have to reinforce the shielding.

Sorry that I haven't been on here much. I've been really busy, and haven't had much time to myself (I also received my new Dell the other day, and have been spending all my extra "computer time" getting it set up. It's almost good to go, so I should be on here more often. I am looking forward to the new year. I have too much on my plate right now. Working full time (which always gets crazy toward the end of the year), try to have family time, taking two tough University courses, and am doing family portraits of people for Christmas (most of that will be done in a couple weeks, though). Trying to get back into the Photography thing (all digital this time). Busy..busy....busy..

But, it looks like some gloom has hit our message board, so I had to pop on and try and brighten it up Hi!

Hugs and tickles to everyone! Especially Werewolf! I think you need it! Whenever bad things happen to me (and they always seem to be happening) I tell myself "this too shall pass." I use it a lot when I am in pain, or when something is just too stressful. Pour yourself a cup of nice tea or hot chocolate, sit down, relax, and just think "this too shall pass". Then, think of all the positive things in your life and in the world. We tend to always dwell on the negative and oversee the positive. Look for the little things like how one of your kids smile, or the little goofy things that happen in your home. It's really the little day to day things that end up mattering. So, cheer up! If that doesn't work- eat a case of candy bars!! Hi! Hi!

feline suggests you do what i do
don't read the negative threads

feline *sigh*
that is partly just children being children

werewolf - I get rejection after rejection after rejection with no logical reasoning behind them...I wonder

feline *CUDDLES* werewolf
we aren't rejecting you, not now, not ever!

this is why we have created this land of chocolate and happy thoughts and fun, to embrace and hug and cuddle ALL who want it!!!

werewolf - I'll be back to myself...just have to reinforce the shielding.

*dracoform* suggests we wrap you in chocolate to shield you

feline thinks lots of people will climb all over werewolf, licking and nibbling him *all* over

*dracoform* exactly! that should help no end!

thanks feline...all common sense suggestions and KarmaGirl "this too shall pass"...you bet. I realize that, I just have to wait it out.

I know kids will be kids, but it's so hard when someone you love so much can lie so easily, specially about stupid trivial things. The thing itself isn't the issue, it's the lies.

werewolf likes being wrapped in a chocolate shield...yum, yum. By the time I eat my way out, I'll be fine again. I like the metaphor.

Also...and this will answer some questions posed by the newcomers...it is very nice to know that there is a place where you will always be accepted no matter what (within reason

It is such a beautiful day outside today...think I'll take a shower in a bit and go out in it.
