I will wait, as usual with any beta there may or may not be major bugs.

Waiting to see if any problems are posted in the forum is for me the best way to see if it works as advertised.

I suspect the new installer needs a little "help" when it comes to forcibly overwriting existing files. I'm looking.

This is for standard and pro, right? Can anyone confirm the correct version number for this beta? I'm seeing 3.50.018

Can we just skip DX 4 and move on to DX 5? DX4 just isn't getting anywhere.

 The failboat sails again.

Weird. It's running just fine on the husband's desktop Win 7 64-bit system.

The reason I waiting is that I don't believe there is a roll back option to version 3.5, which I have now, available in the Stardock store.

When did he download it?  It's possible that it's been fixed.

There was a DX 4 beta already available before this release. Is it possible that he installed before today?

Well i would wait until they say it's been fixed before installing it and even then think twice about it LOL.. And it would be a good idea to make a restore point before installing it..
