Birthdays
Saturday, August 13, 2011 by gmc2 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
I generally don't wish people happy birthdays here. It's not that I don't acknowledge them because some of those people whose birthdays occur I do really like. Harley and Andrew happy belated birthday.![]()
But, you know, if you're not in the clique then the chances of having that special day acknowledged is slim to none.![]()
My excuse for not participating is that when 'they' out your birth date that they are violating their own TOS by divulging personal information. But the truth of the matter is just that I've been around for some years now and never had my birth date acknowledged.[e digicons]:'([/e]
To me, this is an example of the mods playing favorites, even though they say they don't.

MY birthday is tomorrow and if you have in any way fucked up the possibility of there being a thread about it tomorrow, you're going on The List.
.

There's even a TV series about that suckiest of fracks, Smedley:

I didn't hear them say 'Smedley' once.
You totally suck.
Was there ever any doubt.
Again, what is Australian for 'you suck'? Don't leave me hangin here. Anybody? Somebody?

Okay, the "loser" part was a little bit harsh and it was in response to some of the harsher posts and certainly not directed to everyone. If I had to say it over again I would say, "No, you're wrong, I really don't care if you acknowledge my birth date or not but I wouldn't appreciate you using your position to access birth dates without acknowledging them all". But now that we have been told that you don't have access it seems kind of lame.
I'm not crying about it and to think that I am, well, you just don't know me, do you.
Doc, I will apologize for thinking that you were using your position as mod to access personal information but your mod avatar had me thinking otherwise.
I will also state that as far as being fair WC goes to great lengths to do so. Unfortunately, human nature being what it is it would be impossible for me to vouch for all decisions you make.
p.s. I don't have flash enabled, I almost wonder what those videos are about.

I only have one question. If everyone here is a loser...why are you here? And no offense gmc2...you say you don't care or your not crying about this birthday thing but this whole post screams that you do. I've been here about 8 or 9 years and have never had a birthday thread...and I don't care...and that's the only thing I'll ever say about it. I suggest in the future that you write your post in notepad and then let them just sit while you think about what your writing because once you write it and post it you can't take it back.

That's my fault, Dave. I haven't found an actual diagnosis for what it's called, but it happens to me all the time, and apparently now it's contagious! The fun part of this problem is that we can e-mail back and forth with all the incorrect meanings and opposite intentions, and they don't affect our communication, because we're BOTH afflicted!

PS.: If you don't want your personal data spread on the interwebz don't enter them when creating an acount on a website.

No excuses but I sometimes have a pronlem I never had before the last couple years saying some things incorrect but meaning something totally different.

I think it's called foot-in-mouth disease.
