Birthdays

I generally don't wish people happy birthdays here. It's not that I don't acknowledge them because some of those people whose birthdays occur I do really like. Harley and Andrew happy belated birthday.
But, you know, if you're not in the clique then the chances of having that special day acknowledged is slim to none.
My excuse for not participating is that when 'they' out your birth date that they are violating their own TOS by divulging personal information. But the truth of the matter is just that I've been around for some years now and never had my birth date acknowledged.[e digicons]:'([/e]
To me, this is an example of the mods playing favorites, even though they say they don't.

Oh, and I forgot the nude in "male and Skinhit"... while not essential, Po` prefers it.
Yeah, he likes to think of a nude Skinhit getting his rocks off over his being nude and getting his rocks off.
Some may think they're the 'odd couple', but really they're a match made in heaven.

This thread is just another example of why I'm not involved here much anymore. gmc2 had a valid point, mostly, but it got turned into a joke. All that's left of it is babble babble about the usual people. I've been here since Jan. of 2005 and I don't think my birthday ever came up. I'm not one of the group you see. Although most of the people in this thread are probably in their 40's and 50's it might as well be High School. The popular people. The WC jocks and cheer leaders. I'm not bitching but just stating a fact. Time to crawl back under the rock I live under and hang out with the people in detention.

It's been said so many times on this thread that in order for anyone to know when your birthday is, some effort is required on your part. The only reason I would know of a members upcoming birthday would be because I have contact with the person outside of WC.
Call it "The popular people. The WC jocks and cheer leaders" if you want, but it boils down to the fact that some "regulars" here, perhaps like yourself (Chasbo), don't associate with with other members offsite while others do.
Why doesn't someone start a thread where members can post their birth date if they wish others to know. Personally I wouldn't care if I didn't get a birthday thread each year because the people that mean the most to me always make my day privately.

I've been here since April 2004 and I've never had a birthday thread... nobody knows my birthday... I've not listed it on other skinning sites to be noticed... nor told friends so they could post one... I've never imagined it was all a plot by mods or admins or the result of not being in the 'in crowd'... I simply keep it to myself.... this paranoia is kinda mystifying... 
if you want a birthday thread.... tell someone... pure and simple... no mindreaders here...

I thought that this thread would die after being hijacked with the silly dribble that has infested this post.
Doc is a culprit. but since we've been assured that mods don't have access to personal information, I have acknowledged my error in assumption. My personal belief that Doc has become a pompous ass since becoming a mod has been clouding my judgement towards him. Maybe now that I have mentioned it out loud I can let it go. Can't wait to see what silly demeaning graphics he comes up with now for this post.
Chasbo, to be fair, I really do think that WC makes great attempts to be fair. Having said that and human nature being what it is, people make unconscious decisions daily based on personal preferences and likes/dislikes.
