World Trade Center Disaster

I'm deeply depressed over the attacks on the World Trade Center building and The Pentagon.
And I just want to take a moment and express my sympathy for all those who have died and are injured.
I would also like to extend my prayers that this most unfortunate incidenent does not lead to a war or further casualties.
This is just a horrible event and my emotions are filled with rage, sorrow, disbelief, fear and concern just to tip it off.
I pray to God that there are no more attacks and that our world leaders will make good decisions and keep peace!

I agree that two wrongs don't make a right, but I'd certainly expect those responsible to be held accountable in some form. It's altogether too easy to jump to irrational conclusions and make a hasty judgement, so I hope our elected and appointed officials act wisely as well.

Over here we're on full tactical alert and Lockdown.
(Thank God I work from home) but some of my family and friends are on lock down in Los Angeles and cannot move at the moment...
(But I truely think the attacks are over, they've already done their damage)

Not only do I wonder about what the response will be but what about continued attacks? Will we wake up tomorrow only to find out other disasters have occured?

there is still one plane running around unaccounted for over here by us, so everyone is on complete LockDown =/

I think its pretty obvious that there will be some sort of retaliation. How much retaliation? That will depend on many factors with the biggest one being 'Who is responsible?'

Numbing, is the only way I can describe how this news affect me. These events certaily make one feel very vuhnerable. I certainly do. My deepest sympathy's and prayers go out to the victims of these attacks.

Well, if it turns out that the pilot of the plane heading for Washington to take out the white house actually fought the terrorists and brought his plane down in a suicide crash where no one else would get hurt then I think that person was a true hero.

my heart and thoughts also go out to all the people directly effected by this very dark days events. My heart also goes out to any innocent people that will be unluck to get caught in the area around the people that planned this horrific attack.

I am so sad that all this is happenning. The thin that makes me mad is that all these people are doing is repeating the same thing over and over...kinda annoying...this may be the beginning of WW3

Pray to God no one turns that dark corner Red_Baron, and yet...it might have already started. Maybe that was the plan! I, like millions of others hope that day never comes.
My heart does go out to all those people that lost their lives today, and also to their families wherever they maybe. It's bad enough when someone dies as a course of life, but in this inhuman and insane way? It doesn't bare thinking about.
I just hope to God that whoever the evil sick minded fanatics who perpitrated this masacre are, they get their just reward, and please dont preach at me about an 'eye for an eye' never solves anything, ask all those families and friends who are suffering at this moment, some not knowing if their loved ones are alive or not. A slap on the wrist or cutting off diplomatic channels is all well and good, but do you honestly think the kind of mind that carries out atrosaties like this gives a damn? I dont.
They are willing to die for their cause? Then let them. But not at the expense of inocent people.
If there is a hell, may they enter it as soon as possible and rid the world of hate and war mongers once and for all.

Well, I'm not sure how many more attacks were actually planned, or how many they will carry out if there were originally more planned. But about an hour ago, we heard a couple of loud "booms" and the windows starting rattling in my area. I just heard on the news that there are reports of a plane going down somewhere near the Dayton OH VA Medical Center (has not been confirmed yet). If it was a plane, it was probably headed for Wright Pat Air Force Base.
There is no doubt the US will retaliate after this. I just hope that Bush handles this better than the other situations he's been faced with.
It's kind of odd. First, we're in a war when his father is in office, now with him, it looks like it will happen again.
