WindowBlinds 4: April 8th
Tuesday, April 1, 2003 by Frogboy | Discussion: WinCustomize News
Stardock has pushed the final release date of WindowBlinds 4 back one week so that it can go through final compatibility testing. The first release candidate should be available in the next day or so for those users who have Object Desktop. If you want WindowBlinds 4 right now, you can get Object Desktop.
Also, the WindowBlinds 4 Media Guide has been completed. Now you can check out everything that's new in WindowBlinds 4.

I assume people just aren't as religious as me checking for application updates, as the build which removes the timeout issue has been available for several days.
Looking forward to the final download. I'm also keen to hear when a DX build update is due.

Second, pick a release date and stick with it. I (like everyone else) DO want a stable product and am willing to wait for it. However, pick a realistic release date instead of continuously pushing an over zelous date back and back... and back.
All and all, keep up the good work, StarDock!

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but I am still using the Component Manager showing all releases and have access to WB 3.5 and the latest (3.99b) WB 4. SD Central issue??

Modan, your so right, everyone else does set and make 'realistic' release dates ::cough::

I wonder why those that only pay for WB, have to wait for the final release, unlike the OB people. Just because I don't want the whole package, mean I can't get the early versions of WB? I think only those people who use the free version should have to wait.
Just hope it isn't pushed back any farther.
I am looking forward to it though.

It's an OD subsciber perk and I hope it stays that way.

Thornz, I think they should allow WB subscribers to test the beta's of future WB versions. That way more people can test it. It's not like I want to test the beta of ObjectBar or any of the other OD utilities. That's just how I feel though.. I never said I was disappointed about it.

On the other hand, people who's subscriptions ran out yesterday won't get a final version of 4.0, while you will definitely get all versions of it, if you bought it recently or upgrade.

Also, when is DesktopX 2.0 coming out!?! Is there going to be an individual release of Icon X tech, or will it only be bundled with DesktopX?
