What would you like to be skinnable in WindowBlinds that is not currently?
Monday, October 5, 2009 by Neil Banfield | Discussion: WindowBlinds
I have started this thread to get feedback from skin authors who would like to see a specific thing skinnable that is not currently skinnable, or not skinnable in the way they would like it to be.
Please post specifics, so "Allow all colours to be changed" is not good feedback. "Allow me to change the text colour on control X" is.
So please be very specific in your requests stating what part, what you would like to be able to do and most importantly why.
Pictures would be especially helpful.

Menu background in xp you have to manually add "backgroundeffect=10" to the codex, otherwise the menubackground remains black. This needs to be fixed.
also the buttons for shell style bars automatically have perpixel=1 in the codex, you have to remove this for them to work.
i have to manually add perpixel=1 to alot of png items...

Are we ever going to be able to skin the toolbars and tabs for IE8?? Having that default light blue is really ruining my skins! ![]()

Right, like that's gonna happen...and if it does...IE9 will take care of that!

Yes I would like to see IE 8 completly skinnable, not sure that can be done.
However what can be done currently is pay attention to the font color in IE 8 on the menues as a lot of skinners use gey or white against IE 8 default light blue which makes it unreadable. I would like to see 3D frame around the menu items in IE 8. See the BlackCream Skin to see an example of what I am talking about. Also a Transparency button on title bar see Capt America skin for an example of what I am talking about

The light font color is due to the fact that font color settings are shared between the toolbar in explorer and the IE toolbar. I personally refuse to make all my skins with a light blue toolbar so that it works with an unskinned IE toolbar.

Neil would it be possible add a way to use scripted animation any where that can be currently animated like the method the one for Cursor Xp (FX).
ie...1-7=35 , 8=99999999999
that woul allow a ton of new animation I deas to work especially in the startmenu!
