Murphy's Laws

How many are there out there"

Wednesday, November 12, 2008 by DrJBHL | Discussion: Community

I for one have always enjoyed the sardonic wisdom of Murphy's Laws. There appear to loads of them, corollaries and extensions too!

The rules? 1. No big 'G''ing answers, please.

               2. No "Overkill" just one or two per post...gotta leave some for others, right?

               3. Have fun!

To get it started: 1. Whatever can go wrong, will.

                         2.  What ever can go wrong will, at the most inopportune time and you will be blamed.

Let the games begin!

No one notices what I do until I quit doing it.

You're probably still alive cos that was true when you were a kid, too.

Flipping the bloody switch does, too.

Oh no i am doomed now, Murphys Law, i am the one responsible for this LOL

OK, now we've got the Bugger's address....bwah hah hah!!!!!!

But, no matter how perfect things are made to appear, Murphy's law will take effect and screw it up.

So, he'll manage to get away ....just because of MURPHY's freakin' law!  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

But you're "down under"...so do  you flick the switch UP to turn it off...but wait...UP is DOWN for you so....

I'm so confused... . How do you get ANYTHING done?

If you can't understand it, it is intuitively obvious.

To err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer.

But

The attention span of a computer is only as long as it electrical cord.

Truer words were never spoken. Hey I could put that one the redundancies thread.

OK here’s my next Murphy’s Law;

Eat right, exercise daily, die anyway.

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Left to themselves, things tend to go from bad to worse.

Nothing is so good that it won't get better and nothing is so bad that it can't get worse.

Oooooh...I like that one, and ask permission to use it when needed?

When looking for an item you have missplaced you will always find other items you have missplaced, but not the item you were looking for.

The probability of a hardware failure disappearing is inversely proportional to the distance between the computer and the customer engineer.

Any cool program always requires more memory than you have and when you finally buy enough memory, you will not have enough disk space.

Along that line.  You will always find what you are looking for in the last place you looked.

The shortest distance between any two points is always under construction.
