Mods...I don't want to be a prude, but the ss here https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=19228&libid=13 is inappropriate for a family site as it depicts a minor in a suggestive position. It should be removed.

Why was this allowed to get so out of hand? I'm not a skinner and don't download screen shots, but everything I have read in the forums here tells me that it shouldn't have been able to get in the gallery because too much of the wall paper or background was shown (as stated in Zoomba's reply). We loose in two ways here, not keeping to screen shot rules, and the lose of a skinners gallery. Valid, as all the replies are, they miss the point completely. Oh Brad, you did say you would be hanging out in the forums didn't you? I believe this is where you are supposed to step in and provided some quidance. clwoods, come back. Your skins and your help to others at this site is worth more than this screen shot.

I did step in on the issue, as a Stardock employee, and appointed guardian of WC for most day-to-day items, the screenshot was removed from the public gallery due to the unobscured wall. We are still enforcing the rules, it's just that from time to time something slips through.
The rules for uploads remain the same. Screenshots should have a suffeciently obscured wall image. And we still stick with PG-13 guidelines for content.

Zoomba, like alot of folks that reply in the forums I wasn't fast enough. While I was typing my reply you and a few others posted ahead of me. Sorry if my post came out looking like Stardock wasn't responding. I was able to edit once but not a second time. I know all about slips happening, I had a Oops the other day.

It got out of hand because a public issue was made out of it. The matter could have been resolved almost instantly by making contact in private. I could have dealt with the screenshot had someone immediately contacted me in private, either by e-mail or PM (or contact another mod if I wasn't online), but by the time I arrived here it had already gone way beyond my area of responsibility (skin moderation).
So, as soon as I saw this thread, the screenshot, the direction things had already taken, I went onto IRC to get the attention of someone who could resolve the problem in a correct manner. It was sorted shortly thereafter.

Well....I've managed not to get involved until now. Clearly this is a controversial screenshot and clearly the girl looks 14! What bothers me the most is that we are going to lose CL and TA Woods over this...That really sucks! What will become of the White Pearl if there's no Fandango?

One of the problems you run into with this lately is all the 'transparent' widgets, objects and media skins and such...which were used somewhat in that SS. I think some of their popularity is that they allow you a more unobstructed view of the wall.
If limiting in any way the amount of background shown is going to continue to be a standard in the guidelines, it may need to be adjusted. After all, you can't ask them NOT to use transparent items on the SS..or NOT to use the transparency settings in their vid card or in FX.
I have to ask..Why wasn't it sent to the personal page to begin with if the rating was so low, as one of my walls was and a few walls of other people? (Sorry, I don't know what the original rating was, so I may be out of line with that)
I may not have liked the SS or the subject matter in the wall (which all my looking around suggests the image is intended and quite purposely meant to resemble a young teenager in a suggestive pose...it seems it was not a new CD she has out but DVD with some more of the same in music video format..and I still don't get the title POPO-PORN) but I will applaud the admin's standing behind their decision to allow it...and more kudos's for sending it to the personal page of the author.

As far as going into IRC to report things.....
I went there to report someone had uploaded a rainlender that was an obvious rip of Treetogs work.
The parties that were currently in IRC laughed and didn't care AT ALL. I still don't understand the lack of response on their behalf. After proving (and they agreed) the rainlender was a rip, I left. Stardock central was working like crap and showed me twice on the list in IRC so I was accused of having multiple accounts. Oh swelll. I tried to do the right thing and got hassled and ridiculed in return.
3 days later, the rainlender was still in the library. I made a forum post and Fuzzy removed it so fast I went back in time.
Soo, guess where I am going next time there is something in need of attention?
I know others that have had the same experience.

NT I haven't a clue how to get on IRC..and totally missed that "enter the text you see in this little box" thingie when I tried to send the e-mail...
I sincerely believed that a mod would see it, get in touch with me, lock the thread and we'd take it from there.
Regardless, a response from the mods was received, and decisions made. I am thankful that it no longer on the main page, but stand firm on my concerns.

Not sure when this was or who was on irc at that time NT. Anyone with an @ in front of their nick would certainly not find a reported rip as amusing and when I have been on irc and a rip reported they were checked out immediately. I would hope that this was an isolated incident and that you check in on irc again even just for a chat.

I agree with Fairyy that it is sad to see two female skinners go in a predominately male community. And I hope that they come back.
Pamela Anderson & Betty Paige don't belong in the same sentence let alone on the same screen. Betty Paige is a lot more classy.
