Could you please update the codec to make easier use of Windows 8 Microsoft codec? Or just test it properly with Windows 8 and deskscapes 8? I have installed the media center pack and it just doesn't want to work.

Same as the guys above, was really looking forward to your LCARS dream but it doesn't work for me 
(I'm on Windows 7 x64 bit).

It seems to be lovely, but like jasonjarred, and the others it simply won't work because of some codec error. can you please reupload it using .avi? (win7-64 bit)

Same Problem...
The error that I'm getting says the following...
" Title: Unable to play dream "
" Message: The dream may contain an invalid video type or a compatible MPEG-2 video decoder may not be present. Please visit here for more information: https://www.stardock.com/products/deskscapes/nocodec.asp "
I know that i have a compatible MPEG-2 codec because all other dreams work with me and I have already been to the no codec page and followed the troubleshooting directions and found no problems with my codecs.
Hope to see this Dream working soon. 
FYI: My Install is....
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Extreme CPU X9650 3.00GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory: 8192MB RAM
HDD: 500GB
Graphics Card: (GIGABYTE) AMD Radeon HD 7850, 1024MB GDDR5.

Install the Shark007 Codec for your system and it will work for ALL Dreams.....

Installed Shark007, and while it tried to install spyware, it did NOT correct the problem!

I've always loved the System 47 screen saver, and to have it as a desktop is indeed a dream. VERY COOL!

When Windows added Active Desktop (ages ago) I got a desktop theme called Holodaeck (version 3 I think) that came with an LCARS screensaver. SOmewhere along the years and windows updates it got lost. This is gorgeous and woks undet Win *! It is freaking excellent!
I have many of your Dreams - sadly over half of them stopped playing when I moved to Win 8.x. I got Pro/Media package and it made no difference. Hopefully Win 10 will fix all that. (hopefully).
