Tiggz, the widget won't start, and if I try to import it I get the following error: "Think file doesn't appear to be a valid DesktopX package".

...and nice idea on the "favorites" locations.

I think it is because I exported it with the latest beta of desktopx, so you probably need to install that for this widget to work. I am going to install the older version of dx now and check things out, maybe I can export another version with the older dx and include both in the upload zip while the transition from the old dx to the new dx works itself out.

desktopX version 2.39[b].002 required to run this widget

Sorry about that guys - it wasn't my intention. Unfortunately I can't convert it back to be compatible with an earlier version of dx because I can't reload my archived dxpack into anything other than the latest dx beta.

Oh well. The latest beta of dx has loads of cool new widget features tho so it's well worth downloading Unfortunately it means anyone who hasn't got access to the latest beta won't be able to run this widget (

just to emphasise:
desktopX version 2.39[b].002 required to run this widget

Works fine for me The only problem I have there is another GT3 weather widget, so I can't keep it in the same folder.

Thanks for the nice comments

Skryme - I think there is a slight bug when the object saves/loads its settings where the name of the location isnt updated properly, but the zipcode IS saved. If you click on the locations you will see that the locations that you entered are still there, even if the name is wrong - I am investigating this bug at the moment.

Chinaman - there is an email checker, but it is uploaded to the dx object library as I can't get the mail plugin to work with widgets.

cheers bru

Skryme, and anyone else for that matter, widget updated - the problem was not that it wasn't saving the locations, it just wasn't updating the text with the saved location names when it loaded. There's quite alot of scripting involved in this widget and I guess that one just got by me Hopefully it should work now - further bug reports very welcome and appreciated

Hi there TIGGZ,

Yes I had the same problems as the other citizens...
I guess may older version wont handle this Great Weather you've Created. And I was looking forward to a international Weather. But I downloaded it because its still part of your Great Master Work...

Thanks any way....

Guys - I have managed to convert my dxpack into one that is compatible with earlier dx. I will update this widget and include that dxpack in the zip. Thanks to PixelPirate who passed on the tip (in another object's comments) and GreenReaper who showed the way...

I have to say this is one of the best weather objects I've seen, but is there any way to switch between 24 and 12 hour clocks?
