I am guessing that the color changes are not bitmaps or png image files... this is some sort of hue changing script that affects the original image?
I can't WAIT until I get the whole Object Desktop stuffus!!! Then I can crack into all this stuff and start contributing stuff myself!!!

Yep, DX allows you to change the hue, brightness and contrast either directly or via script
