Yrag or Someone Help plz

Hey Yrag, or Someone,
I'm having some issues with my computer. If anyone could help me I"d be most appreciative
1. Wincustomize browser keeps freezing up on me, I can't post a thread, or Add comments, it Freezes. I'm on Firefox now to post this
2. Stardock Central Freezes up on me as well. Same issues.
I have disabled my firewalls thinking this was the problem. Also, I have Kaspery Anti-virus, and I have allowed SDC and Stardock to be accpted under Exclusions.
3. In my even view it's saying Error C+ and Error vss
I really would like to just clean out the C:/ Drive and start fresh, but, I have that darn emachine for a puter (with many extras put in
) I can't boot into DOS to just format it that way.
Any help or suggestions??

No, that's the Dreamweaver program correct? I was using the trial version, but seem to be having problems with it, only had it for less than 24hrs. This problem has been going on for about 5 days now

Zone Alarm? No, only firewall I have is either through Kaspery or reg ole windows security, but both those are disabled

Thought you had it....OK...open Control Panel/ Administrative Tools/ Events: what exactly does the error say. How long have you had Kaspersky installed and what version?

thought maybe this would help you. Btw, my computer is running wayyyy slower than ever. I did a disk defrag and a virus scan with no viruses..

OOps forgot to tell you when I got Kaspery, I got it on 1/16/05 so I think it's the newest version. The Personal one

My first guess is that it's Kaspersky (BTW: that's not a firewall). Having said that....what Windows Media player are you using?

I have Windows media version 10. I also have yahoo music engine, so I can listen to the podcasts from WC

OK....windows is repeatedly trying to install something. Do you have all the MS updates installed?

yes, I do...I think it's my logic cam that it keeps trying to install. But that's already installed. After I click cancel a thousand times, system metrix will open up.

Well, that would explain the media player reference and some of those other entries. Open Run/ type 'msconfig' (w/o quotes) go to startup and un-check any entry that references that cam software (or any 'Install' reference). Apply, re-boot. On the prompt about a changed msconfig startup, check 'Don't show again' and hit OK.

Aside...
I've been using Kasperksy Personal w/ free ZA firewall with no problems (Kasperksy for 2-3 months; free ZA, years)-- Doesn't interfere w/ any of my SD products.

Un-install the cam software and re-boot....see what it comes up with then. You don't have any Backup software installed by chance, do you?
