What was the reasoning on the WP reject?
It was the 'automated' rejection...it didn't meet the qualifications. As far as clothing...A fairy in a thong?
..I thought about it, but thought it was okay the way it was. I didn't 'think' it was 'innapropriate' in that way because it was just her back. | .it would be that you spelled Fairy with 2 Y's. |
Actually, that was intentional, because I had dedicated it to 'someone' who spells their nic that way, for all the nice comments they had left me on my skins. If the screenshot got in with the same name..I don't think that was the problem.
As far as shadows...I get nervous because I know they check that sort of detail to make sure it all matches up...and I haven't quite perfected shadowing. But you have a good point. Thanks.
These are all good points and I am taking them into consideration. Thanks for commenting.

(that to me don't look like snow)
I've gotten 2 comments on the snow..and I am looking for something better for that effect.
The fact that it is a 6.7 MB download may have more to do with the rejection than anything else
I never even looked at the size of it. I had two versions of the WP in the zip...one without the snow...and 3 sizes of each. I have been looking at some other WP's that have multiple versions or the ones specifically of narture photo's that have more than 3 files in them. I notice all the ones I have seen have smaller file sizes than mine. How do you get the size smaller without compromising the quality?

Was my comment deleted?
Absolutely not! I would never delete a comment. It didn't post, I guess?

I did see a comment from you on the screenshot page.

working on the snow..but I don't like what I'm getting. Not happy with little dots.

MO the fairy's back needs to have some color.
The original version had more color, and in my 3 days of tweeking, i ended up with what I submitted. Hmmm...
needs some more shadows, and maybe increase a bit the overall contrast
I'm gonna muck it up if I try shadows..but I know, I know....
and The contrast was there in the original..but I tweeked it cause I thought it was too much...
Okay. I'm gonna work with all this info and try again. Thanks everyone!

Grumble, grumble, moan moan......I like the C version best, but make the rose and case a little more clear/prominent, not bigger as in A Other than that, C is the better for me....the snow effect looks quite good IMO
ch IMO the fairy's back needs to have some color.
Just don't cover it in hair
There....I feel much better now

The thing that struck me first is the light reflection on her back. It's all one color. Flesh is full of intricacies; dips and curves, muscles and bone. Even the best artists will stay away from drawing the human hand for this reason. I love the whole piece. The rose, snow, wings are all great
, but the light on her back throws the whole thing off for me. You are exhibiting some incredible skills, though. I wish I had them. I also like naked fairies. As long as they keep that damn glitter away from me.

I ended up going with 2C. People liked the smaller fairy with less snow..and no hair on her back.
LinkIf anyone is interested in the other versions..OR the original used in the screenshot, you can email me. I'd be happy to send one off. I doubt they would make it through moderation because of the similarity's.
Thanks for ALL you wonderful help and time.

Yes, 2C is a good choice....will get this one for the female contingent of the household
As for the hairy back thing....I'd just seen some old footage of the wrestler, Brute Barnard, and just had this strange vision of a hairy fairy
