Can anyone advise how I can get it to load only once?
Many thanks

I have the same problem. I tried using your advive but still no dice. Itried a few combonations and OD will either load twice (creating a third startup item) or will not load at all ( the load at startup becomes unchecked in OD's properties).
Any suggestions?

flixmaker,
Save theme > unload all instances of ObjectDock.exe (use Task Manager if you have to) > clear the cache by deleting the ObjectDock cache folder.
For a mini tutorial on clearing the cache for Stardock programs, you can go here http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?SID=5463&AID=82461
Restart ObjectDock (which will load with the default settings) and use the Dock Settings to load your saved theme. Use the "Run ObjectDock at startup" found in Dock Settings if you want program to launch with Windows.

Thanks, but again, no dice. I even restarted without loading my theme and I get two docks.

Do you have a shortcut in either of the Startup folders?
If so, what happens if you move those out temporarily > deselect any option to run at startup in OD settings > repeat unload and clearing cache folder?
Just out of curiosity, you did not by chance install OD+ on top of OD free, did you?
