Painshop Pro vs Photoshop
Which program is better for skinning?

I use Paintshop Pro for alot of my skinning as well as webpage graphics. I know there are some out there who use Photoshop instead. What I would like to know is; Which program is better? or is it simply based on preference or skill?
As I look at our top designers skins I often think to myself 'wow! what did they use to make that?!'

There are a number of programs out there, that provide a photoshop plug-in so you can import .psd files into the relevant program.
Photoshop also works well to prepare files for print design.
The rest of the differences seem to be preference, and of course price.
I use Paint Shop Pro 8 at work to edit photos for standards and assembly manuals, and it will do the job, but I would prefer Photoshop if given the choice (the graphics department used up all the licenses available).
I use Photoshop 7 at home (though I am not a professional, or even high-quality artist at this point), and I certainly enjoy the direct access that the layer pallet offers, as well as the channels pallet.
My 2 cents.
