large-scale terrorist attack targets London's transportation system

London UK was the target of terrorist attacks today. 37 people have died (so far) as a result of this attack. Various terrorist groups, including Al Qaeda, have claimed responsibility for the attack.
It's easy, even tempting, when one lives in another country or another continent to think of the whole thing as very far away. Such mindless destruction and hatred can have far-reaching effects. Not all that far from the attack is where WindowBlinds, WindowFX, IconPackager, Stardock Central, Theme Manager, and other programs that are used by millions of people are developed. Moreover, popular community helper, GreenReaper, had just left the London area to come to the US today.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims. One can only hope that the monsters who were involved in this senseless, hateful act are able to be brought to justice.

For the record, my original comment #9 was not intended to use Frogboy's thread as "a stage for political grand-standing". More people than not express--"Why is this happening?", "Why are they (labeled terrorists) doing this to us?", and other questions either quietly thought, or voiced to others. My intention was to generate comments based off a factual foundation either for others to explore from within their own mind and make comment, or branch off as did the honorable lady Southern Amazon Queen. She has done excellent in expressing herself on her own personal link. Hence, I gave her something to think about and she has vented by virtue of her individual mind. Who knows where she will go from there.
Cybermessiah's comment is well-taken; an intellectual comment rather than one of ill-will towards those responsible of this event.
It seems clear that one needs to know just what Admin Jafo's "Comment Commandments" are before posting on any thread. Moreover, it seems pointless to have the ability to use a different font size et cetera if the author's expression is subject to the red pen.

There were 'options' regarding divergent comments ....leave them be, but suggest people NOT deviate into 'the US and UK brought this upon themselves' tirade, or just remove the oversize 18 point-font 'comment' outright. The former was chosen, being less draconian.
There ARE no 'comment commandments', except to perhaps respect the sentiments of those who already contributed to the thread, thus giving its direction....

And as to where I'll go from here?? Right now I'm torn between unspeakable anger at the absolute absurdity of the incident, and profound sorrow for those whose lives were touched on a personal level (lost a friend, family member, etc). I know how that feels, and I know that it leaves the person with not only immesurable grief, but also an overwhelming desire for vengance. You feel as if someone must pay for your loss. That's a feeling I've yet to get over, almost 4 years after loosing my best friend in 9/11.
Ugh...I knew that would happen. Sorry, I promise, all future outbursts will be kept to my Blog.

There will always be the 'I apologise for my face hitting your fist' brigade in any thread of this kind. These are the kind of people who allow terrorism to flourish with their 'do-good' attitude.
Terrorists are not a part of society, they need to be hunted down and removed from it.

Let's just call it a thread where people show sympathy for those who were killed....and NOT a stage for political grand-standing, no matter what your political bent.
And, yes...to a 'certain degree' The site admins 'determine' what is, and is not appropriate....
Take your confusion and inability to differentiate between the act of terrorism vs. peace-keeping to a suitable Blog of your own creation...
