X says:
Jafo - can I ask a question?
What happened to that thread?Jafo says:
What thread?
X says:
you know - the "porn" discussion
Jafo says:
oh...hang on....just saw it
X says:
I've been looking all morning - I can't see it
It's not on Joeuser eitherJafo says:
Citizen XYZ overstepped the mark...language-wise
X says:
crap - thread got canned?
He get exiled?Jafo says:
he's not 'exiled'...he's a JoeUser member....depending on future conduct depends how we deal
X says:
can the thread be rescued?
Jafo says:
probably not....essentially it ran its course...
discussions are fine...but eventually people stop attacking the alternate opinions and attack the opinion holders insteadX says:
yeah I've noticed that
Jafo says:
yes...if you cannot convince people you are right....you yell that they are wrong...when they don't agree you say they are stupid...
and it goes downhill from thereX says:
yes I'm guilty of that I know
Jafo says:
everyone is guilty of it at one time or another...depends how weak his argument...and how strong his opinion....![]()

It was me who hid the thread.
I can enjoy a good debate on any subject, but regrettably the thread lost direction. Unfortunately some people do not appreciate that fine linguistic art...
