Stardock has released a trial version of RightClick.  RightClck is a program that lets users extend or even completely redesign the Windows desktop right-click mouse menu.  When a user right-clicks on their Windows desktop, RightClick's custom made menus comes up.  Users can add short-cuts, tasks, system commands, and much more to the menu. It's also fully skinnable and can be set to automatically inherit the user's current WindowBlinds visual style.  For users who normally have their desktop covered up, a hot key can be set up so that will activate it at any time.

RightClick supports displaying running tasks, the Start menu, the system tray and virtually anything else one might imagine having on there allowing the user to replace the Start bar if they so chose (and in fact RightClick supports hiding the Start bar).

RightClick is a free download. Users can purchase it stand-alone or as part of Stardock's Object Desktop.  Its home page is https://www.stardock.com/products/rightclick.

I've been using this for quite a while now. Very handy program.

I really love this new program but i still have 2 problems:

1 - it's don't support WB skins with animated menu itnes. (see the screenshot)
2 - i would like to disable that custon menu separators added by the program. (see the screenshot)

I also like this programme and have been using it since the first release. I wrote about the problem danillo mentions in the forums but as usual got no replies so its a little strange that its now been released when there are known bugs in it. Also, with the latest release version I cannot get it to start up automatically with windows and every time I start it manually I get the edit menu coming on first. That all said I still think its a great programme and Id recommend it but I just hope there is continued development with it.

There will be continued development but I suspect that the ability to perfectly inherit WindowBlinds skins will always be a moving target. Ideally people will make skins for it. We'll be putting up a section here for it soon.

~I also like this program but i've had several problems ..same as above but also I cannot get System tray to add onto menu...I put it there..put seperators and all I get a blank space between the 2 seperators. I have reinstalled, uninstalled, rolled back to all different versions and I cant get this option back. Also, if I set the application to run at startup.....it will, even if I Uncheck the option it still continues to run at start-up and I have to uninstall it to get it to stop...I can deal with the minor problems cause I like it, but this system tray thing is bugging me.

First I must say, I love this one.... I use it all the time. I would like to use the popup start menu feature, but when I add it and use it, the start menu makes about a nanosecond appearance and then closes. No matter what I do, I can not get this to work.

This is very nice I have a suggestion The regular desktop menu has arrange icons and refresh which this one dont have are you considereing adding that. Thanks

Great proggie- it's like running the ObjectBar popup without loading all of ObjectBar. Love the popups (right-click menus) in LiteStep, but the inclusion of Tasks and systray in the LiteStep popups isn't as seemless as in Right-click. Great use of Fitz's rules of interface design

Would be nice if the chief developer or someone in the know would make a comment, even if it was just to aknowledge that there are a few bugs and that they'll be rectified in future versions.

Still no chance to save the configuration. I am disappointed, especially with the background of having lost 1/3 of my heavily customized menu out of nowhere yesterday (on boot) after running flwalessly for several days and after several reboots. I know, it was Beta, but many people have had the same desire. And I still don't get the reason why I can't simply copy my RC configurations from one machine to the other nor use a saved by copy config on the same machine.

People with the configuration screen showing up at startup : Having RightClick in the startup-folder with a ' -startup' added behind the shortcut helps.

BTW, I will never understand such a screenshot for announcing a product. The shot says absolutely nothing as the menu shown there is not even customized a little. I know, Stardock has been in business quite long and so on, but hey a screenshot showing nothing special doesn't do the product justice. But this was also discussed in another thread with no avail and angry comments following, wasn't it ?

Anyway, this is my RC in action :

Absolutely love this app. Very neat. But I use Win 2k (still!!) and miss "Line up icons" and "Refresh" from the normal windows desktop menu. Any plans to add them?
