shutdown

adding to stardock

Monday, February 7, 2005 by pstpierre | Discussion: ObjectDock

How do I add Shutdown and Restart. I've managed to do away with the task bar except for these two items. Thanks.

Are you refering to Object Dock? If you are then you need a docklet called "Power Off". I can't remember if it installed with OD or if I had to down load it from the library. It should be in your Docklets directory under Object Dock. Once you have it, right click on the dock background and select "Add Entry" then chose "Power Off" Once it's on the dock clicking it will bring up the usual Logoff, Shutdown, Restart box. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. Where exactly do I find the Docklets? (This is a pretty confusing site with all the different packages and components)

PowerOff can be found here: https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=4599&LibID=29

An alternative are the PowerControl Buttons by Argyle. https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=407&LibID=29\

Make sure you read the included readme.txt files to find out how to use and install these.
