ok this i do know, but i am also wanting to i guess port themes like nvidia reactor Rave ect., so i can turn it into a windowblind, but i can't find any of the downloaded files of the new skins i may have downloaded, they download right into the mediaplayer, but the file for it are not in the media player folder, where were they downloaded, and how do i port them to make a matching windowblind? and thanks NightTrain!

Something new i want to get into.... I saw some people do it here and asked if i coould get a copy but i never heard from them, so i would like to learn to do it myself....

I don't know anything really about Windows Media skins, but I do know that you can open the .wmz files with a zip program and have access to everything inside. Don't know if that helps you. And you can always download the skin file by right clicking and opting for Save As. Then right click and open with the zip program of your choice.

well thats all kewl but i can't find where they are being downloaded too, say i Download Nvidia Reactor, it downloads straight to the media player, but the file isn't in the media player file folder (skins), only the original skins that come with it are there.... So where are the files being downloaded to so i can do that? have practicly looked all through my puter, and thanks much BluDev appreciate your imput

Are you sure your not clicking the "Open" instead of the "Save" button. Go to this link http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_nvwmp10skin_downloads.html for the NVIDIA Windows Media Player 10 Skin and click on the Download (5MB) link. A window will open asking you to "Open" or "Save". If you click the "Save" it will open another window for you to select where you want it saved. What browser are you using?

Follow the link Hankers gave, right click on the link to download, select "Save Target As", save it to your desktop, then right click and select "Open With" and select the zip program of your choice (Winzip, Winrar, 7 zip, I use TUGzip). If you just click sometimes WMP skins won't even give you the option to save as WMP just grabs the file. That is way you need to right click the link and select Save As.

Best of luck!

doesn't even give me that option there Hankers, it just asks if i want to download, then when i click yes it just downloads it, doesn't give me a save option, puts it right into the media player, but like i said the files don't show up in the skins folder
And thanks Dev for that zip file info that worked out just fine, now all i need is to find out where the downloads are going....

Glad it worked for you. I hate it when files download and then hide from me. Bad file, bad file.

That "hideware" can be funny sometimes. Glad you are able to get at the files you want to work on. Looking forward to the results of your work.

thanks much Dev and Hankers, appreciate the help, and tweezer.... the thing your clicking on is a stats thing for that particular skin, and it sounds like to me that your in screenshots, if your wanting a windowblind you need to go to windowblind catagory to download the blind, most times than not, it will automaticly download to your windowblinds and you can find the folder (if your wanting to change anything (for your own personal use) in there with either a graphixs program, or something like skinstudio.... hope that helps out.....
