Screenshot spamming

"Thanks to all the authors" is mindless and repetitive.
It really gripes me if I see something I like and there is no clue as to where it came from.
It also might slow down the uploads (a little work involved)
Just my 2 cents.

| I would like to see a requirement to list the names and authors of the skins displayed |
...with links to their works if possible
takes a little time, but if you really want to "Thank" all the authors

I agree with all the above entirely.
The last couple of weeks the screenshot section has become monotonous and time consuming

I mean, if I get bad comments on my first attempt, then somehow improved drastically, will others who read the comments like go "wtf is wrong with the reviewers?!"
or vice versa, I submit a cool theme, getting rave reviews, then later I replaced the theme with a horrid one..... won't they go "WTF?!" too?
can I edit my comments? I've not tried it before though

Improved a screenshot?....Sure, update it or even upload a new one....whichever you prefer.....
The 'issue' is with the few people who monopolize the section, and our time by uploading anything up to 6 or 8 at a time...then come back the next day with more.
It's absurd....

I think that should be one of the requirements for uploading a screenshot. If you can't tell who made the parts of your desktop AND provide links to the skins, icons, players, walls, etc., you shouldn't be able to upload it here.

i normally post links or names or both to the skins i mod for my desktop's i post ...
flooding the screens section is hampering the mods to do their volenter jobs effevtively.. i would suggest an addition to the upload page asking those who upload to do so responsibly.also again i would suggest limiting them to one per day, per user, this would slow the flooding uploads to a minimum and maybe force those who are flooding the section to upload only those which they are most proud of.
for those who are over flowing the screens shots section.. your intentions may be good and all.. but try to keep the uploading to a min. popularity is not about quantity but quality and originality .IMO i would rather see a well built/modded desktop than a flood of ready made screens...
just my 2 cents....

People that wanted to compile desktops showing various themes, icons, etc. could still use the Themes section. Of course they would need to comply with that section's guidelines, as far as links, etc.

A 'singular' flood of screenshot submissions is an irritating 'chore' to deal with.
When one individual is merrily submitting 50% of the screenshot uploads he is monopolizing the moderators' time with what is 'supposed' to be of curiosity value.
Screenshots are to display skinners' works-in-progress, or a user's current selection of others' works.
Both uses benefit from added descriptions of the displayed skins, etc.
If people validated their screenshot uploads with details as to why it was chosen as an upload then there'd be more sense to them  [and probably would stem such a flood somewhat].
Spare a thought for the admins....surely one screenshot upload every other day is more than enough....
