I upgraded my os to xp pro recently and now all of a sudden in the start menu I can no longer use the right click options, when I right click on an itemm int the start menu, nothing happens? Anyone have a nifty little fix for this problem without losing all of my stuiff AGAIN?

I had that happen on one of my laptops a while back. When I would right-click the Start menu and programs menu would close themselves. I had never heard of it happening before, never found a fix for it either.

I've seen this too, and like Mark, I never found a fix other than reinstall.

I wouldn't upgrade a system with a previous operating system to XP Pro. I tried it and it never worked as well as a clean install. The upgrade install left all sorts of junk, from the previous OS, on my system too. I wiped my hard drive and used the boot disks from Microsoft to perform the install. It might work for you too.

Scary is being in your bedroom with the door closed and hearing a rattlesnake's tail clicking. Scary is camping and hearing the roar of a hungry lion outside your tent. Sheesh, come on Wimpy, you can do it.

I just put in all kind sof nifty widgets and downloaded like 500 songs and movie off Napster... Not to mention I amassed a huge collection of various other things and immediately forgot where they came from...

Then it looks like you're going to settle for a broken OS and no right click menu. (Or, don't he know that if it don't work right, right out of the box, then its broken.)

Forgive me for mentioning this, you are clicking on an item and not a blank portion of the menu correct?
