Wars should be fought in a LAN parties.
Yep, and the program of choice should be "Soldier Of Fortune". Let them make all their war strategies on the computer game board. The president and his cabinet will fight the war at CompUSA(it has to be at a patriotic computer store), and we should host the opposition. No children lost and the winner gets a new alienware computer(Hooray!!)
Hey, I'm serious. Alienware computers rock. That's a great prize.
Well, yes you do, we killed a bear that came into my dad-in-law's barn and killed one of his two goats, and dragged it off into the woods
Yeah right, the bear came into your suburban neighborhood and went into your barn? Wait a minute, they don't have barns in suburban neighborhoods. Oh I get it, you built a house in the woods where the bears live and now he can't live their freely either.

Almost 42,000 people killed by cars in 2000 compared to 35,000 people killed by guns.
I find that statistic disturbing, but I believe it.  But if the US stats are similar to Canadian stats, about 90% of those are caused by either teenagers and/or by speeding. That's why they should increase the driving age to 25 and stricly enforce the speed limit.
But again, cars are not made to kill, they are made for transportation. You can't exactly outlaw cars, you can only enforce responsible driving more.

Its most likely that the place you live today was once in the woods and you are inhabiting land that was taken from some poor animal. The roads you drive on were once wilderness were wild animal roamed free. Are you saying that mankind should stop NOW after you found your place to live?? Maybe we should make all of mankind steril now so there will be no increases in population that require ppl to build a home near or in the woods. Or maybe everyone on the face of the earth should pack into a city somewhere and never go out. I guess we could always build taller apartment buildings to house all the ppl. Wait, then we would be encroaching on the bird habitat. Hmmmm...... I give up, what is your point here

No, don't stop now. Destroy the few remaining parks and protected forests and kill all the animals. Why stop now?

Living in harmony with wildlife is something I have been striving to do for more than 30 years. But even then you Will find times that wildlife does not want to live in harmony with you. At those times I want a firearm on my side. Harmony or not, if it comes to my life or death, I will protect myself.
We all have a right to bear arms in this country, that does not require us to exercise that right. We do NOT have the right to kill ppl unless it is in self defense. I guess thats what it all boils down to.

ARMY Sniper Under 18 Bravo. So maybe my views are a little biased, but that's because I know how to handle weaponry.

Same stats for the UK, @ 1/5th the population of the US - 3431 by cars, 81 by guns....
Hope you 'gun culture' folks find that sobering. I find the US stats very disturbing, and even more disturbing is the acceptance of guns as everyday objects. Frightening.
