Cell Phones...

I know this isn't relevant to skinning or anything. But I figure this would be a good group of people to ask. Anyhow, what cell phone provider do you use and how satisfied have you been with them?

tjesterb....actually sprint ringtones don't expire after a month, you just have a month to download them to your phone. I have been using the same ringtones I download from more than a year ago.

Yes but Sprint charges a LOT of money to upload pictures from your phone and they over charge, like verizon, on about everything else to.

For Ring tones.
However, I believe T-Mobil gives the Full Song for the download, when Sprint only gives 15 to 20 sec. clips, but a whole song would eat alot of memory on your phone, So 15 secs. to me seems better.
...It's 90 days...I'll keep you posted on if they expire from my phone or not. (Currently answering to LINKIN PARKS....Numb)

Keith: my tone downloads are 99 cents and always have been. And I use T-MOBILE. And they don't expire. games are 2.99 to 5.99, wallpapers are 99 cents. And we only get about 25 seconds of each song, not the full song.

Yes, sprint does charge alot for their ringers now. When I got mine they were only .99 cents, but once you have them on your phone they don't expire. I had my phone stolen not to long ago and after I got it replaced they even credited me the cost so I could re-download the ones I had already purchased.
There is also a site I came across awhile back that you could get free wallpapers for your phone, I have gotten several from there. Not everything on it is free anymore, but not a bad site. I believe the link was www.mbuzzy.com , they have ringers and such too.

I have to look into getting megatones as I haven't seen them at the T-Mobile store yet..

I looked into the megatones at T-Mobile. Turns out they call them HI-FI ringtones and you get 15 seconds of the song. They cost $1.99 and interesting enough T-Mobile calls their regular Polyphonic ring tones megatones. Sadly, my phone can't do HI-FI ringtones.

don't know if this is too late, but i have tried several of the providers and have found that where i live (in outlying areas) verizon has the best and most consistent reception. those i know who live in nyc say that at&t has better reseption in the city, and i have no idea why: it doesn't work at all where i live.
as to privacy, i just don't give my cell phone number to anyone unless it is someone i always want (or need) to talk too....

But I love verizon especially since they are tied to MSN.
