The Spewage has already started about Iran...

Saturday, July 17, 2004 by IPlural | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I awoke this morning to turn on the TV and find a news item in play.

Iran had and has connections to Bin Ladin and his Possie while also having links to 9/11 amoung most other terror attacks against US interests in the 80'sand the 90's.

Give it a few days and we will probably be force fed a bunch of previously withheld intel information and have our fear buttons punched constantly about up comming terrorist attacks.

Lets the GAMES BEGIN !

I despise the things that happen in this world, true enough. When I say I hate the News that is what I am speaking of. I hate learning that 84 small children were cooked to death because there was only one door leading in and out of the building which happened to be on the other side of the fire.

I despise learning that the Moral and Just USA along with the Nobel and Superior rest of the world has done nothing, absolutely nothing to stop a Genocidal Maniac in Sudan, other than going and bending his ear a bit. Yet the USA is going to some Island off of South Africa to help protect them and the OIL there.

I hate learning that I know as a personal truth, the Government of the USA works very hard to keep the ruling class separate from the all the rest by keeping them divided on some really stupid false issues.

How in the World Gay Marriage can be more important than the question of if the government lied to the people to get us to not only support a War, but almost demand if and then defend it mindlessly is beyond me.

How the Tax Payers are going to pay for any Damages in a wrongful death case against a Politician who was guilty of Speeding, Running a Stop Sign and Killing a Fireman who had gone to NYC to help with the recovery on 9/11 and was found guilty. Was found to be working at the time so the people have to pay for the results of his crimes is beyond me and I hate the fact that there are otherwise intelligent and good people who will find nothing wrong with it are going to support him.

I hate the fact that a President ends up lying over a BJ is some how more corrupt and his actions questionable over one who very well might have lied to send out troops to kill and die to the point that you are called less than Patriotic for wanting the whole damn process at least looked at and all *ALL* of the information made public.

I hate the fact that the US Government works for the People, the Citizens of the USA collectively and yet most of the real process is done behind closed doors and the shadows providing the benefits to lobbying Corporations and Special Interests, both American and Foreign alike.

I hate that people would put absolute faith in what basically boils down to the professional Liars who sit in office by hook or crook on both sides of the isle. Then turn around and buy into their lies lock stock and barrel, only to turn and bare teeth, snarl and snap at anyone who questions the possibilities of it in part or all being a bunch of lies like some kind of mindless Pit Bull.

Bosnia, people lived next door to each other for generations. They lived as friends and family and in what seems like an blink, raped, murdered, burned and tortured each other that only moments before called friend.

Yeah, I hate the News, but, I hate the process brain draining people into mindless meat puppets who ignore things and just let them happen because it does not enter their own personal bubble of existence even more.

The worst part is, all those things that do not happen right in the back yard, those things that do not affect one personally will in the end. It all comes around sooner or later...

anyway....

Why is it that we fight for all the wrong reasons? Why is it that instead of working on common goals we fight each other? Why does power corrupt so many people? Why do we constantly make the point of "I'm bigger and better than you!" Why can't we all just get along...

$5 says we invade Iran 2 weeks before the election...

Yeah you're right. Screw civil liberties, who needs 'em when there's war to make. Is there only supposed to be one thing on the news at a time? Sorry but I'll continue to stand for what I believe in, no matter how many "wars" are going on, and it's hardly mindless.

Seriously though, screw civil liberties, no one seems to be able to give a straight answer about them. Also it is pretty mindless that you'd be more concerned about a few gays wanting to be married than a few thousand dying over lies and personal ambition. I love how homosexuals and the likes can spark so much constroversy in the minds of O' so many astute, average americans, yet the very premise for sending armed forces fight never being questioned doesn't.

It seems if you're not blindly patriotic these days, you should "just go live somewhere else". I think this country and politics are all too often confused with the entertainment industry. People see things on the news and seem to support things, without actually realizing it's going on.

Also... I hate Michael Moore. Just felt I had to add that in after reading IPlural's post.

during times of old, blind patriotism was the only kind of patriotism there was. back then most could trust their politicions (or felt they could). many couldnt read and or lacked the cognicant abilities to fully understand the political arena... truths could be well hidden if need be.... even tho, the general population today is smarter and more able to understand the political arena and its evils, the blind political mind set is still there. (in war times they refuse to believe that any thing a politican does is wrong)...

i am as patriotic as they come .. but my patriotism is based on my love for this country and its principals .. not a love for its politicians... i get peeved when i feel my fellow americans have been decieved by a lying politican...it makes me sad to think that there are people who wish to be blindly patriotic and allow politicans to use our troups to war aganst countries for their monitary gains....

it is every americans duty to call any politican who has comitted a wrong to the floor to answer for his actions .. its our goverment not theirs . we run the goverment and its about time we started acting like we do ...any who feel that its wrong to question our leaders can feel free to head over to any communist country, there they can have their wish.

questioning our leaders is not just our rite as americans .. its our duty .............

remember its ...By the people , For the people ... not By the politicans ,For the special interests ........

na, it will not happen before any Election because it would push anyone who was thinking of cross voting or who was not totally decided to go against the administration. Right after, besides there has to be a good build up first. More Terrorism Experts, more UnExplained Terrorism Threts and such...

Stockholm Syndrome

keying on one issue and ignoring all other issues damn well is mindless...

Not excluding demanding a Constitutional Amendment over it and making that demand fully knowing that it would not even pass on the Republican side let alone on the Democratic side of the isle. Political manipulation and religious pandering at it's best... have to give em credit for that.

Democrats are not any better with their push for outside Observers for the Election. They knew it would not pass and it was more political manipulation and pandering...

But they worked, each threw a few more bricks on the wall between the citizens keeping that great divide in play and shoring it up. Might even catch a few who get caught on the wrong side of the wall for this election with them.

I beg to differ, back then the population was much smaller, and political matters were closer to home. Assuming we're talking about old, old and not 1900s old. And politicians weren't quite in the business of politics back then but more so for the people. Anymore politics is a dirty word, like smut. So, in hand, I don't feel they were blind, infact I feel their eyes were wide open. Regardless of if they wanted them to be or not.

truths could be well hidden if need be.... even tho, the general population today is smarter and more able to understand the political arena and its evils, the blind political mind set is still there.

Smarter is a tricky word. We are more educated yes, but smarter? The average Canadian in highschool knows more about this countries political system than a US college graduate does. People who lived through the struggles and development of our early governing system had a sort of wisdom that we can't understand these days.

(in war times they refuse to believe that any thing a politican does is wrong)...

And those who do believe a politician is wrong tend to be misinformed/uninformed bleeding heart liberals, and hell dirty liberals make everyone look bad.

Styx - The Grand Illusion

Have you ever been sittin' at home watchin' television
and suddenly something comes on the TV and you say to yourself,
"Hey, how come my life ain't like that?"
Or maybe you're sittin' lookin' in a magazine,
you see some pictures, some advertising, you says,
"Man, I must really suck because my life sure ain't like that."
Did you ever feel that way? Yeah-
Well, you wanna know why your life isn't like what you see on TV
and in movies, in magazines and such, you wanna know why?
'Cause that's all bulls**t! That's right-
Don't you go believing movies and TV and rock videos and all
that crap, come on, I mean-
All that is is somebody else's fantasy, you know what I'm sayin'
to you?
In fact, all it is is really more like a "Grand Illusion."
Welcome to the grand illusion
Come on in and see what's happenin'
Pay the price get your tickets for the show
The stage is set, the band starts playin'
Suddenly your heart is pounding
You're wishing secretly you were a star
But don't be fooled by the radio
The TV or the magazine
They'll show you photographs
Of how your life should be
But they're just someone else's fantasies
So if you think your life is complete confusion
'Cause you never win the game
Just remember that it's a grand illusion
And deep inside we're all the same
We're all the same
So if you think your life is complete confusion
'Cause your neighbor's got it made
Just remember that it's a grand illusion
Deep inside we're all the same
America spells competition
Join us in our blind ambition
Get yourself a brand new motor car
But someday soon we'll start to ponder
What on earth is this spell we're under
We made the grade and still we wonder
Who the hell we are

...this is the first thing that came to mind, so I found the lyrics and posted them Hopefully it makes sense to someone else other than me so that I know I haven't completely killed off every braincell

He tends to attack people, not issues. He is disgustingly liberal. Gives problems by the dozen but offers no realistic solution. He often makes issues he doesn't agree with a double edged knife, damned if you do - damn if you don't. As one reviewer of Farenheit 9/11 said "but isn't that like going to see your favorite baseball team play against an opposing team that never shows up?", he aggressively attacks everything that doesn't live and breathe Michael Moore with no intention of letting the otherside make a point, this is especially seen in Bowling of Columbine. And I've always wondered why doesn't he quit bitching and run for some kind of office himself? probably because it wouldn't pay as well
