Stray Kitty

Thursday, July 1, 2004 by _footsie_ | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I just had a really funky experience. A beautiful grey little kitty was wandering around....I'd never seen it here before.
Being the fruitcake that I am I gentled it into coming to me after about half an hour of 'cat talking' to it.
I wasn't happy to find it was a young male...discovering this as it backed up to my raspberry bushes and started shaking its adolescent little tail. (spraying)

After coaxing I got it to come to me and it purred and lovey dovey'ed and I thought I might (as it was happy and willing) hoist it to my arms for a snuggle....

at which time all hell broke loose and the little sh*t commenced to ripping half the skin off my arms and gnawing not very gently into my forearm at which time I commenced to let loose the little demon and let him find his petting and comfort elsewhere

so much for my wild kingdom conquests

I will now attempt the uncomfortable process of pouring peroxide on my gaping gashes and slather antibiotic ointment and bandaides over my injured pride....

and teach the dog what 'get the bad kitty' means

not really

dang I'll have to take a couple of days off of splitting wood

gee that's too bad!

I was laying comfortably on my couch, half dozing watching tv...a peacefull quiet eveining, all of a sudden, I grunted as my oldest cat.. chipdip.. pounced on my belly. and what the heck was that thing on my chest?..Oh No, a mouse, I sat up quickly screaming to get the mouse and the now baffeled cat off me !~! I got the mouse off me, and instead of just falling to the floor, it ran..a live mouse I saw the mouse heading for the hall closet...nice gap under all doors..hmmm. I grab chipdip, the cat haha and open the closet door flinging the cat in headfirst. Now the whole famdamily has arrived to see what all my screetching was for....4 cats watching me, while the 5th sat back looked at the mouse, now clearly hiding in my shoe. Well it took an hour to catch the mouse Even after catching the mouse and waving it under my cats nose, they just looked at me kinda funny.
I mean really, my cat had been so kind to give me a gift, the least I could do was hold onto it

Yes Mrs _footsie_ us women are all alike Suckers for a sad story and a cute face

Its My Secret

I am also constantly getting scratched up. I got scratches ontop of scratches. My wife says I look like a patchwork quilt sometimes. I invariably am in the shortest route to whatever my kitties happen to be going after at the time. I have 12, so i end up as part of the race track quite frequently. Not to mention Top Springboard, Launching ramp, and quick turn around. And let's not even begin to talk about bath day! My latest problem is that, My wife collects thimbles, and several of the Cats have discovered her thimble racks hanging on the wall, which are precariously close to a napping spot. You know Thimble roll, and bat very nicely. I get to catch Hell! all of a sudden they all become my Cats as well. when they are Bad Kitties, they are mine, and when good, they are community Kitties.

Knatzz! Your babies are beautiful! I had a siamese once, greatest cat that ever owned me!
MySecret, you're not alone. When my Hoopty caught his first mouse, of course he brought it to the first place he could think of. To me, in bed! He was so proud. Now if I can just get both of them to kill the birds before bringing them in......

No cats here but one of my hounds will bark during certain commercials on TV and even if you hit the mute button, he stops what he's doing, looks at the TV, cocks his head a bit, then proceeds to run around the house barking his fool head off. And while he's doing that Captain Morgan, our conure, is in his cage strutting back and forth, barking and telling Bogart to stop One of the other hounds, Casey catches mice, kills them and "buries" them in her crate, for a snack when we're gone

I'm glad my little guys are still too young to catch living things, they're still trying to figure out how come they can't catch my cursor. They sit on my lap and paw at the monitor for hours!

No LCD here. I got a brand new 21" CRT, they're really good about it though, they don't use their claws at all. cause if they do out comes the dreaded squirtgun!!!

Nooo! Not the squirtgun! I guess that's the classic "don't weapon", huh?

It works really well, I was surprised!! Thanks to the squirtgun they don't chew on my wires, stay away from my books, leave my keys alone and don't hurt the monitor. They both just sit on my lap and follow the cursor with their eyes. Sometimes they use their paws but never with claws. They're so good, especially for kittens. And the funniest thing is they love to eat fruit! Strawberrys are their favorite but they also like watermelon, grapes, and peaches.

How odd! My Hoopty just grew accustomed to the squirtgun and tried to drink it as I was squirting it. As for the food, Butterbean earned her name! I've never heard of a fruit eating cat though, although I had one once that would fight you for Doritos.

I've got one Kitten (Puddin), that will eat just about anything, from peanut butter cookies, to green beans. He's a Maine Coon cat. I've got another older female (Prissy) that is a Pounce, Junkie. I mean to tell ya, Pounce is like Kitty Crack, you mix that with playing with Pipe, Cleaners and she has a full afternoon. I have yet to recieve a live present from my one of my Pride. I have witnessed the death of some mean water, bugs though. That is not a pretty sight.

I had a cat years ago which was a raving alcho! Leave a beer on the coffee table and walk out of the room for 5 minutes, come back again and said beer is somewhat missing (as far as the cat could get it's head into the pint glass!)

Nothing's funnier than a pissed up puss! Nothing at all!

Hi lovesblessing!

Thank you for thinking about me! The scratches and lesser bites are healed...the deeper punctures are still healing where the muscle and tendons were cut a little but doing good! No infection and no loss of use...still a little bummed out about not being able to help poor little kitty out though....haven't seen him around for a while, I think he must have wandered off.

Have a good day!
