What if you shined a flashlight...

Thursday, June 10, 2004 by I.R. Brainiac | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

while going the speed of light?Would it shine any further?(or would the light just collect at the source and get REALLY hot)

Aleatoric - Is that even possible? Jafo the everpresent would merely fold the fabric of space and time and slip past any defence in order to fulfill his solemn duty
Unlike Fuzzy, I'm not sure how easily we can distract him with chocolate

feline suspects we can distract him with "cnocolate"

Mrs _footsie_ - if I push too hard they'll wind up under my armpits and then I can't put my arms down

feline *totally puzzled*
this sounds like you have to much chocolate to carry...
its a long shot, i know, but i really cannot see what else you are talking about. however, dont worry, we know how to help you carry the chocolate!

Mrs _footsie_ - on the other hand....I must sadly purchase my chocolate like everyone else....and....

feline *sigh*
purchasing chocolate should not be a sad experience! it is supposed to be a religious and joyous experience!
feline suspects traveling at light speed it to slow
we need to travel at Jafo speed! this is clearly an urgent emergency!

Fuzzy Logic - I have my own theory on light.

*snip*

Fuzzy Logic concludes that all other theories are nonsense and I'll take my Nobel prize in chocolate

feline *raspberry*
you are just trying to distract us so you can sneak past and eat our chocolate!

According to warp theory, I've already had your chocolate...

Seeing how this thread spans the universe of time, space and chocolate Has there been a time-zone change for WC or have I always been 1-hour ahead of the time posted on a post. It's 8:50ish PM here EST.

It could be that this thread somehow bent the space time continuum and now daylight savings is screwed up...or it bumped you into 1 hour into the future. It also could of always been like that, and you're only noticing it now...but I'm leaning towards the space time continuum thing...

Space time continuum, sounds like a good cover story , but I'm betting that I'm just finally noticing it now

Jafo, the omnipresent watcher of the board, gets distracted by a bit of chocolate.

At the same time, a flashlight is accelerated to the speed of light.

Jafo doesn't see the flashlight, but, out of the corner of his eye, he sees the photons that might have been emitted by the flashlight (one of which hits the chocolate before Jafo can finish eating it).

In a fit of anger at the photon contaminated chocolate, Jafo throws the chocolate at the flashlight, hitting it and knocking it off course.

Essencay is pulled through the resulting rift in the space time continuum and placed in his chair one hour earlier.

While Essencay is posting about the sudden time difference, Jafo, realizing the severe consequences of a space time rift on this board (of all places), snatches Essencay back into his proper time and seals the rift. The flashlight with the now burned out bulb is returned to I.R. Brainiac, with stern instructions to not let it get away again.

And in the frozen lands of Nador, they were forced to eat Fuzzy's chocolate, and there was much rejoicing!

through all this mathematical babble you all forgot one thing.

in outer space, if you shine a flashlight, you can not see the beam

unless you are watching it hit something, or you are looking at the source.

That explains the problem....especially why the bulb keeps burning out!

with reference to cows getting sunburned, does your cow prefer a matching parasol or SPF15

She doesn't get sunburned, as she hasn't gone outside since I brought her home! However, I think that a lovely parasol would go well with the rest of her outfit! A matching parasol, that would be lovely!

lovesblessing has been reading too many Regencies lately....Ahem!
