this is simply a special case of the Pratchett comment about this history monks. specifically, if a tree falls in the forest and no one is present to hear it, does it still make a sound? this is a silly question, since there is always someone to see it, especially the squirrel wondering why the world is suddenly moving sideways
_footsie_, the real question is, do we suspect you have chocolate about your person? if so, when what makes you think you are alone in the forrest?

feline *sees the simple solution to the car problem*
the speed of light limit, and the energy required to accelerate you applies to mass moving through space.
however, what about space moving through space? specifically, if you enclose the car in a local bubble of space time, that is cut off from normal space time, and then move this bubble though the bigger space time at the speed of light...
now if you turn on the headlights, the light moves away from you at c, since you are stationary inside your own bubble. of course, what it shows you and where it goes depends on the internal geometry of your bubble...
and yes, this is one of the underlying ideas behind warp speed travel which was designed purely to get to the chocolate faster than fuzzy!

making the wild assumption that you have a car travelling at the speed of light, surely there are two far more important questions:
a) how long would it take fuzzy logic to catch you once he realised you had chocolate?
could you escape the wrath of Jafo for making a typo?
or to put it another way, is either force of nature capable of moving faster than the speed of light? they certainly seem capable of this, and fuzzy especially is known to exhibit time travelling tendencies, moving towards chocolate even before it is presence is discovered.

I have my own theory on light. That is, light does not travel in normal space, it travels in sub-space. All we see is an exit from sub-space at the point light is intercepted. This will also explain why light can be both a particle and a wave - this is determined by the method of interception. It explains why light always appears to travel at 186000mps - that is just the exit velocity/time in sub-space no matter how fast you go, your speed relative to sub-space will always be zero because the faster you go, the more sub-space folds in front of you. And also explains why light, a particle of zero mass, can be bent by gravity - gravity is just a 'dent' in sub-space which the light particle will follow (in sub-space) altering its trajectory.
Fuzzy Logic concludes that all other theories are nonsense and I'll take my Nobel prize in chocolate

Since the Nobel comes with a fairly substantial cash assignment, I'm guessing that the chocolate potential is quite high!
